Can you smoke Nucynta like oxies?

Can you smoke Nucynta like oxies?
Is it possible?
Has anyone tried it yet?
Would it be lethal if I were to?
Also can I inject or snort them?

as far as I know, all nucynta is is pretty much a super tramadol. its not even an opiate, it acts like one, and a weak one, and it also works on norepenephrine so it gives off the equivalent analgesic as oxycodone or something like that. but without all the euphoria and stuff. I don't know how this made it to schedule II.

now, I don't know all this 100%, but I'm sure thats fairly close I did a bit of reading on it when someone was asking about it on DB.

Is there any possible high off this?

I highly doubt it. like I said, its pretty much just a new form of tramadol.

There is a high when taking Nucynta, but it is not as dramatic or as rapid onset as with standard opiates. The high is that comfortable feeling - feeling a bit more chatty and warm - when you reach a plateau with opiate use.

I would just like to say is that I feel very sad for those who want to smoke or inject Nucynta.
I just went through a complete knee replacement on Nov. 2, 2009.
My Doctor had me on Morophene and stepped me down to
Ocycodone. He did not step me down off Oxycodone and I am going
Through terrible withdraw symptoms. He replaced Oxy with Nucynta.
I understand why your wanting to shoot or smoke this stuff but please get

No. It is an opiate. About as str0ng as Oxy. TD Bear is right. Its more of a calm happy feeking. YOur are more functionable. And yes,it takes awhile for it to kick in. Longer than oxy anyhow.

I have cronic pain from several herniated disks, back surgery, and nerve damage. I was on pain pills for years. I stopped them on my own. You just need to ween yourself off of them. The trick to opiates is to never abuse the. You build up a tolerance and you have to take more and more or find was to make a smaller amount hit faster *I.E.(snort/smoke/shoot)That's why now for the first time in 2 years I am taking an opiate again, nucynta, and having good results to so far. Stay strong and exercise that knee!!

Why someone would want to take these pills to get high is beyond my comprehension. This sort of behavior makes it bad for those of us who really need pain meds and are left to suffer.

people get high all the time, i believe that taking pills is a good alternative to shit like heroin... because at least the FDA regulates whats in it. I don't like how some of you are trying to preach to us "oh don't get high!" I'm going to do what i want and I didn't ask for your input so just get off this page and don't look down your nose at us by writing your unwanted opinion. I'm sure your perfect little lives are so awesome that you'll never understand anyway.

I just started taking nucynta and i like it...it is an opiate and you can get high off of it. I had to take quite a few but keep in mind i have an extremely high tolerance. I wouldnt shoot them, they are too new to the market

Pot/kettle? you just did what you said people should not be doing! you could have easily not read this thread and commented with your snide remarks. no one asked for your input, but got it anyway, so in essence some are reading your "unwanted" opinion.

Get a glass of water and swallow them.

If someone is to the point of injecting/smoking pills then they are probably an addict...so suggesting that they smoke a joint & drink wine is just as bad as shooting the damn pill. And I can say this because I was an iv drug user for a very long time, AND ANY DRUG will eventually lead us back to our drug of choice if we keep at it. I have been clean of street drugs for 2 years with the help of methadone maintnence however, and recently decided my life was becoming very succsessful & that I did not want the methadone ties anymore. So I stopped and the withdrawls got me in fight or flight super junkie scrounge mode. I feel the same way I did my first day off heroin. I have some of these also & was going to take some to try and help with the withdrawls, but after reading this, I am guessing I may like it...so instead I'll get my sick ass to a meeting. I thank all of you who had something informative to say about this med very much for taking the time to post. And anyone who cannot stop taking opiates/opiods because of the withdrawls...I praise my local NA/AA meetings. When I saw the lives these people had, and heard how low their lives used to be it gave me this overwhelming hope that made my world a better place. Guess I'm just blabbing now, sorry, and thanks again!

I got off drugs nearly 16 years ago after a 6 year addiction (17 with cigarettes) and it took only ONE STEP. That one step was to JESUS. He instantly delievered me, cigarettes included. He's a life changer and will make you a new creation...old things will pass away. I could not comprehend NA/AA, although I know it has helped some people. Why would someone "Claim" to be an addict yet work hard at not being one. It sounded hypocritical to me. Plus people get off alcohol, crack, meth, cocaine and still puffing on cigarettes (#1 drug) and say they're clean....stop fooling yourself. Nicotine is just as addictive as heroin. If I had not stopped smoking those cancer sticks, I would still be relapsing on those other drugs. Cigarettes were my first drug of choice.
