Having regular periods ahet stopping the patch

I was wondering if anyone who has quit using the patch has had regular periods.

I haven't....I stopped a little over a month ago and should be haveing my period by now...Not sure what the problem is?

I stopped using the match over a month ago and got my period right away. But have not gotten it yet and I'm due. Should I be worried?

Just updating. I found out I am pregnant. So Jackie you might want to have a pregnancy test. I thought I didn't get my period because of the patch but you might want to look into it.

I stopped taking the patch during the fourth week of my cycle and had my period. I have not had it again and it has been 35 days since my last menstrual cycle. I was thinking that I might be pregnant but I have taken tests and they show a negative result. Has anyone had this problem?

Me too, I have not got my period since I got my patch.. am pretty worried

i took the patch off at the end of feb....got my period in march...no period came again until may 20...it is now been 33days since my last period...should i be worried? i am having very slight cramps and swollen breast...has this happened to anyone??

On "patch free" week (the fourth week), are you suppose to use backup contriceptives??

I have been on the patch for 3months and it has made my period extremely heaving should i be worried, and can i start the patch a day early before i apply a new patch after my 4th wen my period ends.

When I first started the patch three years ago, my period was also really heavy. But after you have been on it for a while, it evens out. Mine now is heavy for about the first day and half or two days, and slows or stops on the third or fourth day. As for everyone asking if they should be starting their periods after stopping the patch, think about it. When you don't take the patch on the fourth week, you have your period. Why should it be any different when you get off of it for good. If you haven't started your period after quiting the patch, tell your doctor, don't ask unqualified internet chatters. no offense, but this is your health you're talking about.

i did have my period a after the patch, just as i always had after u take off the last patch....BUT the next one i had was later, and the next one later...and so on....now i ahvent had one since may 27th....only reason i asked people in here is because i wanted to see if that was a typical thing coming off the patch...i can understand how it would be because your body gets used to the ginormous amount of estrogen every month from the patch i figured stopping it would mess me up a lil bit, i just wanted to see if anyone else could relate....AND i dont have insurance right now...i made an appt at the health dpt....but theres a 2 month wait for an appt...they said if its an emergency go to the ER...well LOL im not going to the ER and saying I MISSED MY PERIOD! besides ive taken numerous pregnancy tests...all negative so i dont think im pregnant

Hi everyone, I've only been on the patch for 8 months and everything has been going fine except I noticed I am a lot more emotional than I was before. I seem to cry at the most random things, I hate it. So I've decided to stop using the patch. I ended a cycle on the patch last week on a Sunday and decided to stop then. So I took off the patch and then around Thursday I noticed some bleeding, on friday..more and now Saturday and Sunday I've been bleeding a lot more. is this normal for any of you? I feel like I'm on my period but I just had my period the week before when I finished up my fourth week on patch. Im really worried about it and not sure exactly how my body will react. So far I feel better but I'm still having some bleeding. do any of you know how long this might last for me? thanks

just an update...I've actually noticed that I've stopped bleeding...now I think I just have to play the waiting game and wonder when my regular period/cycle will commence that is if it actually works.

I am having the same problem but mine has been on twice since I stopped using it and its been two months ago since I have had one. I have taken 4 pregnacy test which r negative.

Yes!!!! I have been trying to conceive since December with no luck....I have always been fertile myrtle... going on 8 months now of wacky periods and no luck of getting pregnant! Also periods are infrequent and abnormal. I was a user of Ortho Evra since 2004 for 2 years..........

johncye t, and mum 2 girls.......i finally got my period yesterday after 3 months!!! i guess im just all messed up from that damn patch!!...i will say this though!! about 3 weeks ago i went to the health food store and got vitex(chasteberry) pills, and red raspberry leaf tea...started those and a week later got weird cramps and tingling, that lasted for a week then i got my period a week after that!! so i think the herbs made me ovulate because i got my period exactly 2 weeks after the ovulation cramps....i was very skeptical of them but i think they may have helped a little....im going to continue taking the vitex! and the tea tastes good so ill stay on that too.....

I think it is crazy that we are all going through the same kind of thing...The patch put out such high doses of hormones, that our systems are use to...so that now after not using our systems are out of whack that it is causing periods to be delayed months on end, therefore causing us to think we must be pregnant right? I went 3 months w/out aunt flo, and when she finally did show up it lasted for almost 2 weeks and I know this is to much info but the blood seemed very old and I am only mentioning this because this has never happened to me before I don't think it was a miscarriage because the OBGYN tested my blood for pregnancy hormone a couple of months prior to that!! Talk about depressing especially since dear hubby and I want another baby!

I was on the patch for two years. I stopped it in December 05, got my period right away and then didn't get another period until April. After that one... I havent gotten another and its September 7th. I took a pregnancy test in April and another in July but it was negative both times. I've gained LOTS of weight and had to go on medication for anxiety and depression, who knew the patch would do all that! My doctor gave me "Plan B" in April to try and jump start my period and I bled for two days then nothing. Im pretty freaked out and was wondering if anyone had anything like these time periods, I mean two SHORT periods in 9 months?!

Hi ladies, I have been on the patch for about 2 years now, and the reason why I went on the patch in the first place was because I had irregular periods. Since I've used the patch, I have been getting a period every month. I have no side effects whatsoever. I am not skinny, but not overweight... and I didn't smoke on the patch. After reading the forums, people are scaring me about PEs and blood clots on the patch. Could anyone explain how they know that they have one?
