How does a chiropractor help you when you have a disk gone? Aren't you worried that a chiro, will injure your spinal cord since the disk is gone?

Pain effects everyone in different ways. Some can handle it better than others...women, no doubt, deal with pain better than men. I guess God knew that since females would deliver the babies that he better give them a stronger tolerance for pain.

My pain isn't a real severe pain but it is a consistent pain, when I awake it is there and when I go to bed it is there, day after day. Narcotics give me the pain relief I need and I'm going to stick with them with hopes that the future holds something better. If not, I'm 50 years old and figure I only have another 15 or 20 years at best. If I was 25 or 30, I might feel different but at my age I'm going to take what works the best for me.

That's right Jack. I work at a water treatment plant, we supply potable water to an Air Force base. I'm usually standing on concrete everyday and in wet and cold weather it all adds up to pain. I hope to work until retirement at least that's the plan for now.

I read recently that some drug companies are working on a medicine that stops a persons body from developing tolerance to pain medications, man that would be great. Could you imagine no need to keep increasing your meds? Wow!!

ANYONE no matter who you are if you take narcotic for an extended period of time will in no uncertain terms become physically addicted to the narcotic. That is just the nature of the beast. Now, if you are psychologically addicted then you have a personality disorder and have a much harder time getting off them than a person who does not have the "addictive" personality.

5th grade was the year the doc decided to give me my first painkiller, hydro's, 500's. which sounds like it would be a bad idea but its amazing how your "outlook" on life can change when pain is at its "finest". now at 21 things are good, i play drums, i am working, everythings grand, except the doc is hellbent on giving not one painkiller to me after next month. i have to admit, i'm not completely on board with this idea shes got going on. have anyone of you ever been in that mind set where you look calm and relaxed but you got world war 3 going on in your head.

I don't know if it will help you as it has so many others with severe pain issues is the Mangosteen. The xanthones in this botanical has been proven through science to outperform most all the major pain releivers out there and it's all natural with no known side effects. It has helped women with fibro that could not find releif before. To learn more, go to this research website www.InformationONMangosteen.info Everyone should learn about this

Hi, I have never been here before but I have a chronic pain issue and in need of desperate help. I have severe pain in my lower back. It started during my pregnancy and is even worse now that I have deliverd. I have been getting percocet, vicoden and darvocet rx's here and there. I went to pain management and they wont prescribe anything until I can be seen and the next appointment isnt until march!I have done the hole ER thing but feel like people (doctors)dont believe me and think I am just an addict trying to get narcotics, and it isnt like that. Any suggestions??? How can I get Percocet or vicoden? Online pharmacies for that they say is a scam?? HELP!! Thanks to all.

Yes, we are here Ellie. You must understand that this isn't a chat board but a blog. That means people come and go and check back at a later time to see the replies.

Do NOT mess with anybody that gives an address of hush.com as they are all scammers try to deprave the people in pain in here. Another words a rip off plain and simple. There are internet pharms but most are scams and they are illegal does not matter what anyone tells you. I won't tell you what to do but be very carefull or you might have to withdraw in a prison cell if you deal with the wrong person. I can help you with some ways to stop the withdraw with out doing anything illegal if you need help. email me at pillerup@aol.com
