Family grieves April Cleave's death

I was a friend thru the pharmacy (I am no longer with) and am saddened by her passing, just wanted to let you the family know I was thinking of all of you. I just heard about her passing Thursday afternoon listening to the radio about the benifits concert.

I am April Cleave's mother and I need the world to know how lousy KMC is. They will not respond to her family. Gordon Luther MD was the Dr who administered her lethal dose of morphine that killed her.

Medical care has changed so much. It used to be that Morphine was used only for cancer patients in last stages of pain management or for large bone fractures. My Mom was given liquid Morphine just an hour or so before she passed away because the nurse felt she was "uncomfortable." Mom was not showing any signs of pain at all and she did not have a fracture nor cancer. I had a bad reaction to Morphine many years ago and refused it even when pain was terrible. I use Tramadol now and less than prescribed. May God bless you in your decisions.
