metoprolol dangerous? Place on med. watch

I have been having memory loss and confusion since I've been on this metroprolol. I feel office balance and am not distinguishing dates and times correctly. Heavy ringing in ears and extreme pain in joints.

It could become important later on for anyone both medically and legally to keep a DAILY JOURNAL of symptoms. Report symPtoms to your doctor IN WRITING and KEEP COPIES of everything. Also report to FDA and keep copy of your filing with FDA (send certified mail.)

I've seen that article. I'm not surprised. I'm a pilot, not currently flying....look around the thread and you'll see my posts about my experience with Metoprolol...I wasn't flying when I took it, but when I had my problems..it was so bad I couldn't work or drive a car...and I'm divorced now...I was on Ethex Metoprolol when the really bad problems hit....that's the stuff that was recalled.....about a year after I took it.

I am presently looking into a new class action against kv an the other two co,s.This one will be designed so the lawyers cant get all the money an it will be for the damage its done to me an others like me.You all have to take a step back an look an be super careful of lawyers that lie like you cant imagine!!!! trust me i would no as i am ALLEN LEFAIVRE type that in your browser see what you get,i no what Im talking about.The judge in the appeals court asked about injuries an the lawyer said no,i still cant believe that.The lawyers want to recover the millions an not sue for damages.I have talked with kv lawyers an they no i am coming with this new suit. Since that time my BP has stayed around 115-125/60 something/low 70s. My resting heart rate varies from high 40s to low 60s/min. I also started swimming laps which is off and on again. i been taking metoprolol er 50mg for about a month . i have gained 5 lb. in not time at all. I have noticed by back and leg have starting to hurt something horrible . my legs have weakness in them . i thinking about stopping the med. something needs to be done to get this off the martket

I have been on Metroprolol for two year in two year every muscle and joints in my body is in pain why haven't any body made this public there people out there in the same pain as Iam We need help.

You are quite wrong my friend. Astrazeneca does make a generic version, but there are several additional manufacturers that produce generic Metoprolol ER. You should verify that you are making a correct statement before you accuse someone in this forum of being wrong.

Wow I'm reading all these stories and glad I decided to quit taking. Metoprolol when I did I been on it for almost 2 weeks and can't do it. It makes my acid reflux unbearable. I experience shortness of breath from time to time. I take. 50 mg a day for svt or supraventrichular tachycardia. It makes me have heart palpitations from time to time. I wake up during the night. Sometimes I feel like I'm on drugs or just loopy and out of it. I get random pains thru out my body normally my legs my neck jaw shoulders and chest. It also makea me horribly tired at times. I can't even go to.work...it also makes my blood pressure high...went to urgent care today the doc told me (cardiologist) to stop takin it and prescribed me cardizem which he says has less. side effects so we'll. It seems to me this. medicine. Causes more bad then good. Btw I'm a 20 yr old female too young for high blood pressure and all these problems. Don't smoke or drink not overweight 5'1 100-105 metoprolol caused me to.drop to 98. So ya this medicine has caused me to feel 70 at 20 yrs old.

this stuff kills i know it killed my son read up on beta blockers and you just might get the real picture

I took 4 tablets of a new BP Med Metoprolol as prescribed by my doctor after an office visit to address a rise in my BP, this was 4 days ago. I have a temp of 104 after 2 tablets on the first day ,tuesday, and two more on Wed. I am controlling the fever with every 4 hour doses Tylenol. Im dizzy, nauseated, aching cold hands and feet, soaking the bed with night sweets and having extreme chills, feel lifeless and depressed cant work cancelled an important trip. My doctors advice was to stop the Metoprolol. I need an antidote for what ever is stirred up inside my body am calling again today and forward this forum. Sick as a dog why did I trust my Dac on this I would hace said no if I had been aware of the controversy over this drug.

I am on 25mg Metoprolol for palpitations and lately I have been feeling out of myself. I have shortness of breathe-like feeling and heaviness in my chest. I also get dizzy at times like the room is spinning. My eyes are also weird. My head hurts and I have thick yellow nasal dischage from time to time.

For some people, Metoprolol makes palpitations worse. Do some research on Magnesium supplements and foods. Magnesium is natural safe treatment for heart arrhythmia and so much more. Good luck and get off that nasty stuff.

this drug stops the heart and you die just like my son did the fda knew this back in may2008 and their using us like
guinea pigs done alot of research on this drug since they killed my son

trust me this has been very public 1300 death toll so far, money making drugs don't care about the patient. its all abut the buck take the problem to papers,radio,reporters,online senators white house everone you can think of demand investigations over and over until something is done averone around the country has to take up arms we have to protect ourselves and the ones we love
