A patient who reaches a glycosylated hemoglobin (Hb A1C) level of 6.5% should be diagnosed as a diabetic, according to a committee of experts from around the world meeting at the American Diabetes Association (ADA) 69th Scientific Sessions. This measurement, they added, should become a new international standard for the diagnosis of diabetes.

"A1C is a better measurement, technically, and in terms of convenience when compared to current glucose measurements -- and A1C correlates closely with the risk of diabetic retinopathy," said David M. Nathan, MD, Diabetes Center, Massachusetts General Hospital, and Harvard Medical School, Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Nathan chaired the expert committee presentation here on June 5.

Patients who are prescribed with Actos have risen over the months. The benefits that Actos provide is simply outweighed by its contraindications. This issue has been a going concern for more and more Actos users. See: http://www.rotlaw.com/actos/

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Scorpio

You're in the mood to spend money on a favourite hobby or pastime today, so take care if you're supposed to making every penny count at the moment. The temptation to treat yourself to something that you'll undoubtedly enjoy will be too strong to resist, and the trouble is that you might not restrict yourself to just one item either. It looks like being an extravagant day!
