lisinopril

WOW!!! And here i thought my cold was just dragging on for 4 weeks. I started on Lisinopril about 6 weeks ago. Two weeks after that, I got a cold. Now I am down to this scratchy throat that causes me to cough so bad that many times I will gag or even throw up because of it.Sometimes it even feels like there is something stuck in my throat. The scratchy throat/coughing wakes me at least 3-4 times per nite so needless to say, I am exhausted. I am going to the doctor tomorrow and will advise him of what I discovered because I cannot live like this. I appreciate your post because it has confirmed what I thought... I am not crazy and am having side effects from the Lisinopril. Thank you.

I've been taking lisinopril for several years with good results...as long as I take the brand name Zestril. Recently my insurance company decided to stop paying for the brand name so I went to generic and my bp has been creeping up. Any one else noticed this with the generics?

my mum has developed a chronic cough, could this be due to lisinopril as she has been on the drug for a couple of years with problems. she has had numerous lots of antibiotics and recently been given inhalers, no improvement, chest xray appears normal.
