What a scam! Yeah, lets dream up yet another way to get healthy people to take damaging statins. Gee nowhere in this article does it mention that statins can cause memory loss, confusion, muscle damage (gee, isn't your heart a muscle?), amnesia, ALS-like disorders, and the list goes on.
BIG PHARMA has been trying to get kids on statins for years. Is this another ploy to get parents to rush out and put chubby bobby and plump susie on statins....so they don't die from this "pandemic"?
Where will this stop? BIG PHARMA is out of control!!!

Ooops, my bad...they did say that statins are "relatively safe" whatever the heck that means?? OH and bring millions to BIG PHARMA every year by using similar scare tactics, but yet there is no proof that those taking them are any better off!
Quote from article: Treatment is a crucial issue for swine flu, as the vaccine is slow to reach the public. Flu medicines like Tamiflu are being reserved for only the sickest patients. Statins are cheap, relatively safe and among the most widely used drugs in the world.
