Double-strength digoxin recalled in US

More and more people are coming forward with injuries related to the drug, Digitek, a generic form of the drug, digoxin.

The Icelandic maker of these pills said in April of this year that lots of the medicine were released from its facility with more than twice the regular active ingredient, potentially exposing patients to a double-dose of the medicine.

Digitek is a digitalis medicine, which are designed to increase the strength of heart beats. Actavis claims only 11 people were injured from being exposed to the defective drugs, but it’s likely there are more.

Was the Digoxin produced by Mylan in 2008 recalled?

Has anyone heard of people being prescribed both...Lanoxin and Digoxin together? I know one is the Brand name and one is the generic. Why would someone be told to take both and have prescriptions for both?

During 2007 and 2008 I have a severe reaction due to the over dose of Digoxin. I have a defrillator that was installed in 1995. during that time until now it has not gone off. But in 2007 I felt lightheaded and went into V-Tach and my heart stopped. My defrillator kicked in in 9 seconds and brought me back. This was in August.
In October of 2007, I was sitting at the dinner table and pasted out. My defrillator kicked in after 7 seconds and brought me back.
