I have just come across this site. I had sinus surgery this summer. I am still not feeling better and my doctor told me on Monday that he feels I have a sinus fungal infection. I am very interested in the Cave Man Diet and irrigate my sinuses daily. Can you let me know a good site to remove the mold from my environment? I live in a pretty old house and I suspect there is mold present. Thanks for all the great information on this site. I have looked at Dr. Crantons site. Please advise what to ask my doctor for an effective nasal rinse. Thank you.
Susan I have been diagnosed with Fungal Sinusitis. I've had surgery 3 times, most recently a month ago and while it's helped some, I still can't smell and am congested. Unfortunately most doctors don't really have much of a clue on what to do with us. Push your doctor to do more than just give you antibiotics and oral steroids. There's a number of compounding pharmacies out there that make topical antifungals that have given some people relief. As for removing mold, don't do it yourself. Get your house tested and if you have it, have it professionally removed. If you can try the paleo diet religiously for 30 days, you should feel a lot better, but it may not be enough. Please keep us posted on your progress.

I find a good review source about Fluconazole (Diflucan)- http://fluconazole.org There is a full description and information on dosage, side effects, etc. at that site. I hope, it will really help somebody.
I am sorry but fluconazole didn't work for me, it doesn't work for many people.

I am dropping by to report that my sinus symptoms have greatly improved since I purchased this Microlux air purifier , I got it from amazon on sale for 159.00 that and Damp rid has really reduced the amount of black stuff that used to come from my sinus. I suggest anyone with allergies to get them both it is a good investment.
I still have other symptoms but now I am a lot more confident that I also have Candida. I got the Candida after my Dr. prescribed a long course of antibiotics.
at this point I feel that you can overcome fungal sinus in some cases without surgery.

A great drug-free spray you can use is Sinox (http://sinoxspray.com/ ). According to their website, Sinox uses high-tech salts and other ingredients to dissolve mucus and a "wide range of micro-organisms including bacteria, viruses, spores, yeast, fungus, and bio-slime colonies". Try it for yourself!

I have had a sinus infection for over 20 years now. I have been sent from doctor to doctor for years(no insurance) and taken every antibiotic known to man. with tons of steroids. My doctor of 9years is at his witts end, he's the only one to listen and believe me. just recently diagnosed w fungal ball sinusitus. I'm having my 3rd surgery next week. Fungal ball huge. No one understands how miserable this can get. Have migraines and are triggered by infections, and have missed work many times because of this. Now trying the natural way as well. Has anyone tried Sinofresh and it worked?
I was on fluconazole for 3weeks and got the worst one yet! Netty pots just piss it off and it gets worse! Help!!

sinofresh worked minimally for me. Marie it can be a long process but you can get better, you will need to change your diet and lifestyle, there isn't 1 cure all for fungal sinus, it takes a combination but the mian thin will be to strengthen your immune system, that will take supplements, some moderate at least exercise and over all healthy outlook. I suggest you get the Microlux air purifier and some Damp Rids, this 2 items have greatly improved my condition. The microlux last time I looked was on sale 156.00 inc shipping from Amazon, i incorporates ozone, UVC and Hepa, it's really effective, Damp rid you can get from Home Depot and is very cheap but worthwhile, be careful with prescriptions they are sometimes needed but not as often as they are prescribed.

Well I haven't posted in a while and it is interesting for me to read all my posts. Since about a few months ago I have made tremendous progress. As I look back I find it interesting that Doctors could not help me and because i could not be diagnosed, I couldn't even begin to get any type surgery. I feel it was all for the best because it turns out that I did not need the surgery and more than likely the surgery would not have helped me long Term. It took a combination of many things but one of the most important turning point for me was when I purchased the Microlux Air Purifier, I don't mean to sound like a commercial but I feel that because it cleaned my indoor air, it allowed my immune system to heal myself naturally over time. IT turns out I didn't have to pay a DR 450 just for a visit , I didn't need surgery and I did get better. Certain habits I had to change permentantly in order for me to stay well- I eat only clean fresh food, mostly organic and never junk food, no more than 2 glasses of wine ever, and also keep my thoughts clear and positive. I feel better now than I have in so many years and it feels even better because I did it without surgery. Do no underestimate the power of your indoor air ! and good luck and Love to you ALL !

I haven't read most of the posts but have had much improvement this year by eliminating all sugar, white flour and white rice from my diet. I still do occas nasal rinses with himalayan neti pot salt, a little xylitol, little goldenseal extract or turmeric and pinch of baking soda. I'm using a dehumidifier in the house when it rains to reduce mold and clean well with vinegar. Only rugs I can wash, bedding washed in hot weekly, dust mite covers on pillows and mattresses has helped alot also. And of course good diet (growing alot of food ourselves) and immune building supplimentation. Acupuncture got me over the worse of the last horrible attack I had. Blessings in the new year for joy and improved health. Positive mental thoughts also very important!!

Could someone explain to me why I can tolerate an IV dose of fluconazole and I have terrible problems with the same dose of oral. Also - has anyone had severe vision problems from fungal sinusitus.

After months of research, and much pain and suffering I finnally got an undertstanding ENT to prescribe for me this new anti fungal Nasal spray - voriconazole nasal spray. This is a compound medicine , but do not let some pharmacists fool you, it is very simple to mix, and can be done cost effectively. After the first evening of using it I cleaned out a lot of black pieces of fungus from my sinus, and am on my third day, I hope others will not have to go through the 3 years of pain and suffering and dealing with doctors who want to make money from your ilness , as I did.
All I can say is, NEVER take one doctors word as gospel and do your own research.
I am planning to set up a website and provide help for others who suffer from chronic sinusitus. good luck
Hi Morganna, I live in the NYC area and need to find a good ENT doctor willing to help me. My PCP told me that he believes I am going get worse and he does not want to be held responsible if I should die. He has been treating me with Levaquin and Medrol for years and now it's all failing recently. So he does not want to do anything for me. I am extreamly scared, I am only 35 years old and feel very sick and nowhere to go. Can you help me by giving me a doctors name? Many, many thanks for all your help.

I have systemic candidiasis. I tried almost all natural and artificial anti fungal: hydrogen peroxide, mms, iodoral, iodine's solution, tee tree oil, echinacea, vitamin c, Echinacea, green tea, garlic, Diflucan, Lamisil, Nizoral, Caprylic acid, coconut milk, lemon, bilberries leaves, blueberry leaves, raw liquorice.

At the end, i have seen that Dr Cranton approach was the best.( i am sorry i am saying the same thing than previous people but it is not an ad). I thought i could recover with artificial medicines. Then, i understood bi-therapy or try-terapy is useful.

I also added another thing. I decided to go for an atkins diet (no processed food) and i decided to eat once per day rather than 3 times per day. a 5 days fast also helped a lot.

I have been inspired by those testimonials:
http://www.drcranton.com/casehx.htm

and i added my fasting procedure

I would recommend http://indgeneric.com . Excellent service, lowest price, product arrives within 2 weeks in plain envelope. They are the sole of discretion. Believe me, I have used them several times, not that I need them but wow. Remember to check your blood pressure first as it can affect your eyesight.

I tried oral flucanazole and while it made me feel better than I had in years physically, mentally it made me a crazy person....angry, shakey, anxious. I felt HORRIBLE. It wasn't until I did some research and discovered what the INACTIVE ingredients in flucanazole are. I was having reactions to almost every med I tried and couldn't figure out why. There are several ingredients, in addition to the flucanazole, that they don't list on the scrip. Preservatives, fillers, food dye, etc. I figured out that I was sensitive to those ingredients. I now get ALL of my meds, over-the-counter and prescription, from a compounding pharmacy (diflucan, claritin, vitamins, ibuprofin). I try not to take meds unless absolutely necessary, but when I need them I go straight to the comounding pharmacy. I haven't had a problem with the coumpounded flucanazole or any other med since I figured this out. Good luck!

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Pisces

Having to bow down to convention or limitations is enough to make you want to scream right now, and you'll do your utmost to rebel in any way you can. Be careful about this because you could easily get on the wrong side of someone who has power or authority over you. It feels as though you're battling with forces that want to keep you under control, and you don't like it one bit.
