I would just keep going with it, I had the same thing when I started. But after about 2 weeks they stopped.
I am actually going through this same thing all over again because I just had my dose increased to 60mg a day. Past 2 nights I've had some messed up, scarey dreams.
What are you taking the medicine for? Good luck.

I took cymbalta 60mg along with xanax 1mg a day. It made me hyper and so my Dr suggested I stop. I now have headache, diarrhea, insomnia, and God awful nightmares. I've been off cymbalta for 1 Wk and xanax for 2 days. When will the nightmares leave.

YES!!!! Apparently there is something in Cymbalta that helps with body pains. This is probably tied into the fact that people with Depression frequently have major issues with body pains. There's no MENTAL health issues without PHYSICAL health issues and vice versa. You have to treat the body holistically because it's all one organism :) Hope this late response helps!

I have vivid dreams.Thought it was my sleeping pills. Took Ambien and the doctor swiitched me to Tamazepam. No luck. I desided to take Cymbalta every other day to withdrawal, but started having ringing in my ears. I now understand that is one of the side affects of withdrwal. I have situational anxiety/depression.

I've been on cymbalta for about a month and a half or so and I still wake up with nightmares. I also was waking up multiple times every single night so I started taking my medicine in the morning instead of at night. I don't wake up as often but still have awful nightmares.

I had never suffered from night terrors, nightmares or talking in my sleep in my entire life. That is, until I was put on 60mg (twice a day) of this stuff for worsening fibromyalgia & mild-to-moderate depression by my doctor. Yikes. And then three, four very bad dreams started occurring a night, every night. I wasn't talking in my sleep- I was screaming, yelling & swearing at the top of my lungs in my sleep. My mother said it was like living with Linda Blair in "The Exorcist" night after night, because I'd only stop if she came in & actually woke me up. When I went off the medication, the whole ordeal ended. I don't normally recommend a cold turkey approach to coming off a medication, but this is an exception.

Nasty stuff, this drug. When I stopped taking it, I realized it had actually caused a worsening of my depression every time the dose was increased. I really thought those black box warnings weren't applicable to me, because I am highly analytical of my own nature & doubted that any chemical could affect me like that. Ha. Unless you're under extremely close supervision, stay away from this drug, at least in higher doses. No amount of temporary pain relief is worth a possible suicide or, at minimum, chronic severe sleep disturbance.

I find i only have dream effects if i miss a dose. That said, they are extremely intense to the point of being able to recount them completely months later in 20 min detail. They also tend to be very awful. I'm on 120mg each day, and i don't really have any side effects if i don't miss a dose, except for swaeting, especially it seems when sleeping. Ultimately, though, i think the medication has been very affective, though i did originally start on 60mg, then 90mg, now 120mg as my standard.

Just wondering, what kind of nightmares are u guys having. I have them as well but they tend to be about people from the past who I lost, mostly loved ones. They are very present in my dreams and when I wake up I feel terrible for missing them. The dreams themselves are very weird and slightly scary but they trouble me most because of the feeling they give me when i wake up...
Anyone else having this kind of dreams (like ghosts from the past communicating..)

Ive been on Cymbalta for a year now and am taking 120mg I have horrible nightmares, night sweats and apparently I talk in my sleep now. This is the only medication that works for my depression/anxiety. My husband says sometimes I cry and scream in my sleep. He even said I will fight and cuss! Most of my dreams are about ppl either getting killed or dying. The most recent on I've had seemed like a LSD episode.

Hmm, this makes me wonder why I woke up at 3am last night. I just started cymbalta 30mg and am supposed to move up to 60mg next week. I don't remember a dream, but lately that has been a common sleeping pattern for me. I believe it to be pain related as each time I wake up my back pain has worsened.

I am hoping my reintroduction to ADHD meds and meds for depression/chronic pain are going to do wonders for me in terms of my motivation, ability to finish tasks, and interact with people in the capacity I have always wanted to.

I will have to report back because I was also on welbutrin but that just made cravings of all types go away, no real anti depressant effect.

Daily Horoscope for May 17

Leo

This is a day for enjoying yourself whenever you get the chance. It shouldn't be difficult because you'll engineer as many chances as possible! Friends and close relatives are especially good company right now. Ideally, you should forget all about work and responsibilities, and do something light-hearted and entertaining instead. If that isn't possible, arrange to do something nice when all the chores are out of the way.
