Patricia, the same questions I ask everyone else: is your INR in range, and are on taking any other medications?

When he gets up or after working on the floor when he stands up he gets really dizzy and almost faints. What should we do i'm so worried. PLEASE CHECK WHETHER PRESCRIPTION IS FOR GENERIC OR NAME BRAND...GENERIC BY LAW ONLY HAS TO BE 85% OF PRODUCT AND CAN BE 15% FILLER - GET HIM SWITCHED TO NAME BRAND AND SEE IT IF MAKES A DIFFERENCE...IT IS COSTLIER THOUGH.

I've been on coumadin Since January 1st and this past month have been feeling Really dizzy. These past few days have been the worst. I nearly blacked out a 3 times. I also have a major decreased appitite. When I barely eat anything my body feels like I've eaten a giant steak.. The coumadin clinic said these are not side affets of coumadin but I don't believe that to be trure. After reading everyone's comments and knowing my body I know something is not right. I'm 24 years old and wonder if the rest of you are around my age too. Thank you and God Bless

I've been on Warfarin for about 60 days now, following a DVT and pulmonary emboli. I do get light-headed/dizzy at times, but find that it's directly related to my movements. If I am doing something, and then turn to rapidly to go in the opposite direction, I can experience that dizziness.
Since my INR has been fairly consistent (2.3 and 2.2) for the last month, the frequency has decreased, but it still happens often enough.

I've been on Coumadin now for 6 years and have had every test under the sun ran BC the DOCTORS all say it isn't the Coumadin!! I've have three ear surgreys, bc they thought maybe it's my inner ear I had gull bladder taken out and even went as far as getting my "fake" breast removed to try and figure out why I'm so dizzy and motion sick everyday of my life!:( I can't hardly handle it anymore! It's too bad I'm 27 and been on it for 6 years and will be on it forever, I have "6" DIFFERENT clotting abnormalities there for I'm screwed as far as thinking Im going to b off it one day! But honestly I'm about done with feeling like this everyday, it is ruling my life! There for I have made the dicision to try and stop for a week just to see what I feel like!! I'll keep us updated! But just FYI you know your body THEY don't so don't let them make u believe it CAN'T b the Coumadin bc it could Definitly be it! Believe me I've been through all the meds and surgreys and therapy to fix what they said wasnt a Coumadin side effect!

I began taking coumadin July 26th upon release from hospital for Pulmonary Embolism. After a couple weeks on coumadin, I developed severe pain in my ankle joints and the bones of my feet. Primary care doc said it was the coumadin and advised no more impact exercise (e.g. running, jumping). Primary doc prescribed vicodin, which I cant take during the day when I am walking and in pain. Coumadin clinic says it is not the coumadin. Bridged off of coumadin onto Llovenox to have a biopsy and found that the pain subsided hugely. Back on Coumadin two weeks and the severe pain is back. Tyenol does not seem to affect my perception of pain. Vicodin leaves me in a blur. Is there anything else I can do?

I've been on it since march and was told I need to be on it indefinitely. Side affects I have are light headedness and diZiness but am told thAts because your blood is much thinner. I'm a young 30 and found the only thing to help cope with this is to stay positive, eat healthy, exercise, and be cautious. It sucks, but just keep your head up!

Hi, I've been on Coumadin for about 3 months now due to pulmonary embolism. I too have recently started to experience dizziness. I think it is the Coumadin, I've never had any dizzy spells until about a month ago. Doc says I may be anemic. It's very scary, I was driving when a dizzy spell hit me. Luckily I was able to pull over safely until it stopped. I can't wait to get back to my normal life.:(

I've been taking warfarin for a year and a half now and occasionally I have spells where I feel like I am going to pass out...it's happened two or three times, but the weird thing is that my eye will feel strange too. Not at the same time, but there seems to be a pattern. Please comment back for help! Can't seem to find a real answer online

Started on Coumadin after minor stroke . Have been dizzy and lightheaded. Trouble getting inr regulated. Blood pressure has dropped and have cut BP medicine half with dr approval. Coumadin must affect BP due to less coagulation of blood

Coumadin therapist insists no way is Coumadin causing dizziness and it doesn't affect blood pressure. They say they haven't had anyone complain of dizziness. Had MRI, ear tests to see why am dizzy. I am convinced due to Coumadin dosage and the effects on blood pressure readings.

Had MRI, ear tests to see why am dizzy. I am convinced due to Coumadin dosage and the effects on blood pressure readings. Recently, I was diagnosed with a large blood clot in my leg. There were times I experienced light-headedness prior to diagnosis due to anemia. Now, I have to take iron 3x per day. The dizzy feeling became stronger after being prescribed Coumadin. Three days after taking Coumadin and Arixtra, my blood pressure bottomed out. My normal pressure is pretty good, such as 98/49, 103/62, etc. Three days after taking these medications, my blood pressure was 70/32. . A BLOOD TRANSFUSION was necessary while my urine was so clear from all the water I had been drinking. Does anyone at all know what I can do to prevent this from re-occurring? I know the meds caused this dangerous drop in blood pressure. It is hard to find anything which raises my blood pressure. Holistically, I have been searching. Salt is the only answer that I know of( stopped eating salt over 25 years ago, thought there was enough salt in foods, drinks, etc.). It would be nice to have an alternative other than salt. Could anyone help with this? Thanks in advance for any helpful responses, suggestions, and/or advice.
