How long for coumadin to raise PT/INR?

I am 47 and have been on 5mg of coumidin for 15yrs up and down and uncontrolled today my pt inr is 16.0 what are my mager risks, I'm tired of hospitals and cant take vitamin K

My husband was in th hospital January 18, 2012 for a 9 inch blood clot of his left leg. They removed it Jan 20, 2012. He was placed on Warfarin various dosages & Lovenox 123 MG twice a day. He warfarin dosages has been changing his INR was 1.4 then 1.7 than 1.4 and 1.3. He smokes cigars. So please tell me why his INR is changing so much?

I take wArfin and plavix and aspirin and having problems with my Inr levels ... What is that My level is 1.5 steady

In Australia from uk gave been taking war fin same time as uk (setting alarm) however tookn2 doses yesterday and should be flying back to uk tomorrow. I have a self testing kit inr read 2.5 this am 10 hours after dose. Any suggestions ,how long before inr is effected

I started taking Celexa and was wondering if that effects my inr levels?I have been feeling week numb very fatigue.It was 6.0 went to 1.5 is this something I should bring up to my docter?Was on lenvenox for alot of procedures.I see both hemotoligist and neurologist.Had two strokes and I am only now 41.The headaches is getting worst.

Hi! I'm a 27 yr old with a 19 cm fibroid and 2 blood clots (that I know of) in my right thigh. I have been diagnosed, and on Coumadin and Lovenox since 3/29/12. However, my PT/INR levels are moving at an extremely slow pace. As of this past Friday, 4/20/12, I FINALLY reached a 1.6. This was after my dosage was lifted to 10mg on mon, and 7mg for the remainder of the week. I am pretty frightened about why my blood isn't thinning. I don't eat ANYTHING green and leafy, and I've been drinking a lot of fluids (ie juice and water). Does anyone know what could be the problem? I should also add that I do have a 19cm fibroid in my tummy, that I plan to get removed as soon as this process is over. I'm just really afraid that something more could be happening. Can someone help me?

i have factor 5 which is a blood clotting disorder and take warfarin and will have to the rest of my life i test at home my ptinr is suppose to be between 2 and 3 it is 1.4 i cant remember if it is to low or to thick by the number does anyone know the dr office is closed

I was wondering why a person who has A-Fib and is taking Lovenox 80 mg twice a day, present PT/INR at "0" is not given an increased does to bring up the levels; he said his doctor won't raise his Lovenox dosage daily injections because of this. His goal PT/INR is 2.5.

Part of my pt inr result is 1.35. I have been on warfarin since November for blood clots in my lungs. My
hematologist has prescribed lovenox shots twice daily for a month. I can't afford them. Any advice or insight? Should I go to the er?
