I'm 58 years old and my arms look like I too have been in a war battle. I walked by a door and the catch caught my arm. Its now all brusised up and bigger than what the original contact spot was. I hate it. I've been reading about Vitamin K and I going to get some tonight. Can't hurt. I love my years knowledge but hate what the years are doing to me. I'm not handling getting "older" as the dr's say but doing my best to procede on.... LOL.

It is with interest that I read these posts regarding thin skin, bleeding, etc. My husband has a blood clot disorder called Factor V Leiden. He has had several years of declining health including a cervical surgery gone wrong (in my opinion). We are dealing with the thin skin, bruising, scabbing, bleeding and now he gets a golf-ball sized blood blister at his elbow or on his stomache. It grows and grows, then leaks blood and then re-grows. The doctors don't seem concerned...they say to wrap it. When you wrap it, the gauze becomes embedded in it, has to be soaked off and it starts all over again. Is this called a hematoma or ?? He is currently on life-long lovenox shots twice a day to prevent clotting after having trouble staying therapeutic on coumadin/warfarin. He has many health issues and this just adds to it. What to do?? He is only 59 years old and was an active person until a few years ago. Now he uses a walker to get around and requires assistance in everything. It makes me so sad and I only want to help him get some of his life back.

Same thing going on with myself. I am wondering if surgery that has nothing to do with arms bleeding. It is surgery for removal of excess skin because. Of weight loss surgery. Stomach /being cut all Aroud. Wondering if this will cause a lot of blood loss? Doctor isn't aware. Of this.

Active people on various blood thinning medications should be aware of an excellent product to help prevent bruising or protecting very thin skin. The product is called Arm Chaps and they have so many useful benefits due to their protectin of forearms, wrists, and hands. They're well worth learning about. Plus they are easily returnable if you dont like them. Background::: I was so fed up with products that didn't work, I was determined to create something super durable and yet comfortable to wear in any situation. Best of luck to all of you!!

I have very thin skin on my arms and legs which I often buise or tear open. When I get a bad one I feel frail and old ... not a nice feeling. I have had this since age 60 though I did see it coming in the late 50's. My hands showed the thinning first. I had a full hysterectomy at 49 so blame it on that ... take HRT AND bp meds too.
Glad I am not the only one
