pain under armpit area and in breast tissue

Hi everyone!

I've been suffering from a lot of pain & tenderness in my left breast for about a week now, & it has grown considerably larger than my right one. The pain is in the tissue itself, not near the armpit and not under the breast. My right breast is completely normal, no pain at all, only now it is much smaller than the left. It doesn't feel hormonal because in the past that has always affected both breasts. I am in great health and there is no history of breast cancer in my family on either side.

I will go and get a breast exam once my health insurance is sorted out (in the next 2 weeks) but in the meantime I was wondering if anyone had any advice or had experienced anything similar?

I am 28 & a horrible hyperchondriac(?). For the last few weeks, since I noticed what I think was 3 ingrown hairs) I have had an intense pain in my left underarm. I really dont think it is a blood clot bc about 2 months ago I went 2 the er thinking I was having a heart attack & they ruled that & a blood clot out doing bloodwork. I think its either 2 things 1)a pinched nerve bc sometimes my whole left side of my body hurts or 2)my acid reflux acting up. I was once on omperazole 3 times a day & felt on top of the world but stopped taking it. SO DOES ANYBODY KNO IF ACID REFLUX CAN TRAVEL TO UR UNDERARM? like I said tho it could be a pinched nerve bc I am a cna & lift people all day everyday. What do y'all think?

I am 22 years old & am a mother to 3 wonderful beautiful kids!When I was younger I did have VERY HEAVY periods.After having kids ,not so much anymore.I actually started my period 2 days ago and my period seemed to go away,very weird in my case.Usually lasts longermI was actually just laying in bed and turned over and that's when this horrible shooting pain on my left side. Right under my armpit and around my boob into my chest!OMG,it hurts so bad!Laying down is when it feels the worst.Feels better to stand!

Your problem sounds exactly the same as the one i have at the moment. I am going to the breast clinic for an mammogram and possibly an ultra sound. I will post back on the site when i have
got any results.

Thanks so much for your reply! It's really strange isn't it? I'd really appreciate hearing back from you when you've been to the doctors, thank you. I'm going out of town this week but I plan to go as soon as I get back if it's still painful.

I have been to the hospital clinic today, doctor found that i have a few cysts in my left breast. They weren't big enough to drain but he found one in my right breast which he did there and then. He said that the pain i am getting is down to me having these cysts and that my hormone levels at different times in my cycle will make the pain sometimes worse than others. He told me to use some pain relief cream.
You must go get your pain checked out because everyones pain, even though seemingly the same, could be caused by something different. Best of luck, take care, Debi

Thank you so much for letting me know! That info was very helpful. I'm so glad it's nothing serious & that the doctor could drain one cyst for you today. I hope the pain goes away for you! The pain I've been experiencing actually went away a few days ago, but I will still go and get checked out anyway.

I've had this painn now for three days have phisacle job feel like plursey

Just this afternoon I started with pain in my left armpit sometimes radiating into my left breast and tingling in the lower left arm and hand. I am on warferin for atrial fibrillation.
I get so tired of going to doctor's and hospitals that it would be nice if someone could come up with the answer.

My Right underarm is really deep compared to my left underarm. I am also experiencing some soreness for a long time on my deep underarm. Anybody knows what it is?

after eating i get a heavy feeling and discomfort under my left breast and toward mt armpit also onto my chest. i am 62years of age and no longer have period cycle. had cancer wheni was 25 and had my ovaries removed.

pain under armpit, under breast towards my back and chest. i am 62 and had cancer at 25 removed overies and cancer. no longer have monthly cycle on hormone patches

ANY LUMPS around the breast area should be checked out by a Doctor.... The only cramping or muscular aches I ever experienced relating to the monthly cycle was abdominal and an ache in or around the breast... If in doubt, go to the Doctor...

Oh wow. I feel the exact same pain. I have never heared anyone that I know have the same problem. My family and friends don't understand how this is controling my daily activities. They think I am been lazy and making up excuse. I can't sleep at night and is very uncofetable in any position.Sneezing is so painfull.I always have to be contious of my breathing, shallow breaths.

I'm having those symptoms right now. Left and right side just below the armpit. I suffer from anxiety and today was very stressful. I'm sure it's all related to stress.

I have been having pain in my left arm pit and breast now for about a year, I've been back and for the doctors with this and they kept telling me it was muscular pain. I've recently been now because Im worried it's breast cancer even though I don't have any lumps and they are sending me to a breast clinic because they now think it maybe too much breast tissue. If so what's the procedure? I'm in terrible pain

Hi .i m 24 yrs old.i have pain under my right armpit.i have showed to the doctor and they said some woman hve the problem it's not serious but I m fed up with this pain ..I have this pain since I was 15 and it's still there .if anyone can help me please it's a long time I hve been suffering now and because of that I feel my heart and breast heavy at night time. hey im amber and im 24 years old. ive been havin pain for a couple days under my left armpit and its sore and tender all the way to the side of my left breast near ribs. it hurts alot more when i touch it or hold arms atraight down by my side. i know its not a ingrown hair or bump of some sort. ive started noticing that i had tenderness in same area on the side of my right breast also. but that pain doesnt go up into armpit. i dont know whats goin on. but it scares me when the pain gets so bad it hurts to breath. and when i start feelin pain in my chest above left breast. i dont wanna go to a doc and look silly if its nothing. but i may need to anyway. what do you think this could be? thanks yall.
