Has anybody been on Zoloft? Did it help? My doctor wants to switch me from Celexa to Zoloft...celexa has helped, but I cannot kick the tired feeling.

My doctor just switched me from Celexa to Zoloft too. I always felt tired during the day on Celexa, and my doc said Zoloft is supposed to have fewer problems with the drowsiness. Only been on Zoloft for a week now, so I'll have to see if it is without the drowsy side effects.

Hi - I too am being switched from 4 years on Celexa 20-40 mg, to Zoloft 50mg for one week, then 100mg from then on. I want to get off them, but in November, my doctor's locum switched me to Effexor. I smoke ganja too, since I was 15, I'm 58. Effexor had a bad bad reaction, I had to go on sick leave for 4 months till my dr got back and switched me back to Celexa. I cried every single day sometimes for hours. I'm still depressed, so will try Zoloft for a month or two, then I want to go off completely. I will keep you posted. I am 40 pds overweight too.

I've tried both and currently back on Zoloft. Zoloft is worked better for me for sleeping and blushing, but I seem to have an anger switch on zoloft that is not good. I think I'm probably going to switch back to Celex or Lexapro

No zoloft, I've heard it's even more drowsy-intensive, celexa was ok - stay off of effexor! The side effects coming off it are awful = brain shivers and whatnot, I believe there's a class action against its manufacturor...

I switched from Zolft (5 months) to Celexa, and with Zoloft the drowsiness and sexual suppression were intolerable...now with Celexa I'm getting the same benefits (no depression or anxiety) without either the drowsiness nor the lost libido.

I was switched by oncologist two months ago. I am dragging tail compared to 200 mg zoloft. Mind much quicker too with the zoloft. I don't hate it but don't get things done.. Zoloft one of the drugs the cancels out effects of tamoxifen. So he wants me to try to get up to five years in before I go off of tamoxifen. I had no probs with drowsiness. It made driving so much better not falling asleep all the time.

While on Zoloft I wasn't drowsy, but on Serlife (also Sertraline HCL) I was drowsy.

So it seems that side effects can differ between manufacturers even if active pharm. ingredient and therapeutic effect is the same.

I've tried Zoloft, Paxil and Celexa (twice). I'm back on Celexa now (20 mg.). They all made me a tad drowsy. Celexa seems to be the best for me. Paxil made me unable to achieve an orgasm.

i went to my p doc who lowered my sertraline to 100mg from 150 mg as to much seratonin sending me nuts, leveled now, in england he claims all ssri, are sorted for the resonable gerneric, an a lot of them are shit.He puts it like a fine wine zoloft would be £50 an sertraline would be £10 you would choise the 50 but the nhs dont give you that chance, still you dont get the £1/50 one i suppose

I have been off all antidepressants now since May 09 when I took my last Prozac. What happened was that I had a really bad bad reaction to Effexor, I was on it four months... before that I was on Celexa four years. I was switched back to Celexa from the Effexor in March 09 then researched the easiest antidepressant to withdraw from... Prozac. I forgot to take one on Mother's Day, so I deceided to go cold turkey and had no withdrawel symptoms right away, it took about 3-4 months and now I'm feeling great. I take lots of supplements and started exercising, joined our little gym... I'm starting to feel great. I think nutrition and exercise and far better than antidepressants and have absolutely no side effects. Good luck everybody!

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Sagittarius

You're feeling ultra optimistic today, which is great for summoning up the necessary energy to do what has to be done. But don't let it go to your head and convince you that you're capable of performing miracles. If you aren't behaving in this way you'll have to cope with someone who has a swollen head and thinks they're the cat's whiskers.
