That's the problem with antidepressants. They're just like smoking pot. Both take away your motivation and life goes down hill, only the ad's are much worse because of side effects and withdrawals. Doctors are conditioned to hand them out like candy. Millions of people are now taking these serious brain drugs, including kids. They are dangerous. Learn to handle life's problems the same way people have for thousands of years. Make adjustments in your life to eliminate stress. And learn about the spiritual side of life. Some people just can't handle caffeine. And for simple depression, try St. John's Wort. It works as well as an AD, but without the side effects. And there are other natural helps and herbs for anxiety, such as Skullcap, Valerian, Passionflower, Chamomile and hops, that relax and help sleep. Also a good vitamin mineral supplement. Exercise raises your endorphins. We have become so conditioned in the US to taking pills but we need to remember that the answer to life's problems doesn't come in a bottle. Check these and others out on wikipedia. God bless you

I know about these alternatives'that you speak of.I have tried them, but when you lose a son in this war,and another marries a Brazilian girl whom now does not want to come back here, with my 6month old grandson,it gets a little hard to handle.I do pray every day,and keep myself very busy, but still the attacks come. Thanks again

To loose a son in this terrible war must surely be beyond heartbreaking. I am so very sorry, and I mean that sincerely. I have a loss similar to your's with a baby in the family. It's something you just can't shake. I understand when all these losses are compounded that one would need something more than mild remedies, even with spiritual support. I wish you well with whatever path you choose to help ease the pain. That's all one can do really-is just ease it a little bit at times in order to survive. It's good that you are checking out the Celexa forum to see what others are experiencing.

Folks, James here is a classic example of what a Christian IS NOT. Nothing in what he has said is representative of a Christlike character. To be a Christian is to be Christlike, and follow the teachings and example of Jesus in nature, character and attributes. In other words, it's not what you claim to be- it's what you demonstrate in your character and integrity.

dear notagreatexample, judge not lest you be judged those without sin may cast the first stone sin is enevitable.but woe to the man who causes any of these little ones to sin,for he is better off tying a millstone around his neck and diving to the depths of the sea john:..and they spoke unto Him,asking,"what works must we do to get into heaven?" and the Son of man answered them,"believe unto the One that my FATHER has sent." sir, might i recommend a sebatical so that you may catch up on your tew testament? it seems that someone has missled you somehow. the second sentence in your judgement is incorrect. it seems that you may have overlooked my description of 'asking in His name'. maybee this was a mistake on your part, you might of had a glitch on your screen that temporarily blocked you view. oh one more thing. you seemed to get upset at my mentioning sex. iwas wondering...have you ever had sex? have you ever lusted with your eyes? CASE CLOSED by the way, since youre obviously more knowledgeable than i am at sin, what are you doing on a sex site? i cant ,for the life of me, figure that out. oh well, better no strain the brain on that one. goodday sir

Asking "In Jesus name" is not a free pass to get anything you want, but must be asked according to his will. His will is for you to obey his commandments. "The fervent prayer of a RIGHTEOUS MAN avails much", not just tossing out Jesus name like waving a magic wand. Obviously his name means very little to you. FYI, Christians are not to "judge" unbelievers, but they are to judge the "church", iow, folks like you who call themselves Christians but are in serious error. Jesus said to judge with righteous judgment. Hopefully you might know what that means. He also told those he healed, and forgave "to go and sin no more". Once you have been forgiven,(if you have), then you are expected not to live in willful sin any longer. I don't know where you go to church or who your pastor is, but somewhere along the line, you've either been seriously deceived, or else, you're deceiving yourself, but if you don't make some serious changes, the results will be inevitable, and not pleasant. Another fyi..I didn't know this particular thread was also posting on a Topix sex forum for some reason, as well as the Celexa and Depression forums until you mentioned it. I have been posting on the TOPIX DEPRESSION forum only. Christians don't, or shouldn't be posting on sex forums. According to what you said, you've been visting on a Topix sex forum.

Dear notagoodexample, topic--first paragraph-- youre right. there are many Christians out there just like me.but ive found out that people who call out 'hypocrite' are nonbelievers looking for a shred of imperfection to cast out YHWH/Jesus in order to feel better about their own lives. since i am on trial here, may i present the evidence? ive poured out my pockets till they were empty, then poured out my heart till it was empty.ive ministered to the homeless, the sick, the drug ridden, the young, the old,the sexually confused, permisquess teenagers, the lost, the angry, etc. i managed to do this without judging. YHWH picked me because im flawed and i love HIM AND Jesus with all my heart and soul. just because someone tries to live up to the standards of their beliefs and fails does not make them a hypocrite. i went over a year and a half without sex, or drug, or swearing. i talked with YHWH/Jesus for at least 60% of the day, every day,all the while helping at least one person a day. yet there were always people around to call me 'hypocrite'. continued

continued i sir HAVE NOT,WILL NOT and NEVER WILL twist the words of the scripture around--for any reason-- not even to save ones life. i honor and cherish my bible above ALL material possessions. YHWH and Jesus NEVER spoke on linear terms.EVERYTHING that was EVER spoken from their Holy lips was multi-dimentional. if you belive that They spoke only in a linear fashion, then i can understand why you are so confused.people can take a single sentence from Jesus and use it for an arguement one day;then use it in another way the very next day. if Their words werent multi-dimentional,then they wouldnt apply to unlimited situations in our lives. anyone can take a quote from the Bible and twist it around for their own gain;but it takes a true genius like YHWH/Jesus to speak one sentence and have it apply to all people, for all time,in every situation. continued

continued i never said that asking in his name was a free pass. i simply and truthfully stated the fact that whenever i have an anxiety/panic attack,i talk with Jesus and explain that i know that He doesn't want me to be consumed with overwhelming and unjustly brought about fear and that i know that even before i ask him to heal me that it has already been done. hence, faith. before i am able to finish the prayer He always comes through and blesses me with inner peace, strength, acceptance. here are some examples of me asking in his name: a couple of years ago, i was in my house and was shown, from above, that my friend-justin-had 2 weeks to live.(aneurism).i told his girl not to tell him,and to pray ferverently for his health. after about 4 days i pulled over in a taco bell parking lot and wept like ive never done before. i kept thinking about his son, wife and twin daughters bieng left alone. i kept begging YHWH to save him,to put the aneurism in my head.that i knew i was going to heaven so i dont care if i die,but to spare him so that he may find Jesus and raise his family in a more spiritual way. i kept begging and begging.then this calm came over me and YHWH smiled upon me. HE didnt say anything but HIS smile spoke volumes. i instantly thanked HIM for saving him.i called his girl and told her that he had been saved.later we found out that the aneurism was no more. another time, after i was off work,i had 47 dollars that i put on my record player. i prayed and expressed the desire that i wished i had more money to help them out with bills and such.when i awoke, there were two stacks of 47 dollars. exact same bills, exact same order, carbon copies. i ran to her work and told her andgave her the money. these are just two examples of my FATHER and my Holy Brother blessing me with Their will. continued

continued i obey and cherish HIS Commandments. you wrote,"the fervernt prayer of a rightous man avails much." ALL of my prayers that ive EVER prayed for since around 4yrs and up have been answered. does that mean that im righteous? i dont see myself in this way, but too many people,in and out of church, call me preacher, servant of GOD,angel, profit, holy, child of GOD,healer,etc.etc.im bothered with these titles and respond"im just a man".blind men have turned there heads, stood, walked straight to me. tellin me im special and other things.for about a month or so,one even could see when next to me. people keep tellin me that they have been lookin for me their whole lives. do i misslead people, lie?no. do i say that im any thing other that just a man?no. do i accept titles given to me by people?no.i am scared of pop ularity and attention. i want the full attention to focus upon GOD. so whats the deal? if i am so evil why am i bieng used for good by GOD? am i a bad person? not according to GOD and Jesus.YHWH smiles with pride when i look upon HIM for coversation. ive been in the spiritual realm hugging Jesus, and He personally told me,"im coming back for you james, i love you brother, thank you." i have tears in my eyes just thinking about it! He told me "thank you".Jesus thanked me.!WOW! He called me brother! i dont deserve to be his brother, but He accepts me and loves me! continued

continued you said that Jesus' name means little to me. you obviously dont know me and dont want to know what i think.the assumtions that you have made show that you quite possibly think of yourself as above others.after all you do refer to me as 'low'. thank you for the compliment.as we all know, the least will be the most;the most the least. if you had just asked me questions about me and my love for GOD,we couldve learned so much more about each other as brothers in Christ. ive met many christians and have been very saddened that their mind has been shaped to mirror what their preacher has taught them to be right in his own eyes. these people often are scared of asking questions,or reading their bible.they automatically assume that he doesnt lie and wont abuse his position of 'power'. men of power get carried away and can end up missleading the congregation, leading to the sheep turning away. i sincerely hope that you havent been misslead by anybody. unfortunatly, though it sounds as if you listen to the preacher more than you read your connection with GOD. i hope that im wrong. continued

continued second paragraph sir, if we are not to judge ubelievers, then why judge the church? afterall the church is full of unbelievers.we are not to cause division in the church. this is one of the reasons that i dont attend churches. preachers are automatically threatend by my presence. people are unable to stop themselves from asking questions about me. they eventually find out that i have intimate knowledge about GOD that the preacher doesnt talk about. they end up focusing their attention upon me;how do i know very personal matters about themselves? how did i know about their prayers? why do they feel as if im family? who am i? where did i come from? eventually i do the job that YHWH asked me to do and im on my way.but the 'damage' has already been done. diseases have been cured. the depressed are no longer sad. attendance had jumped through the roof.the faithless are now faithlfull.the faithfull know without a shadow of a doubt that they are heaven bound. all i did was pray, smile, listen. now the church is devided.preacher is trying his best to have all the attention pointed at him,but only pushes the flock away. the parishners end up teaching and guiding each other toward heaven. do i want division in the church? no. i simply obey HIS will. i never know what to expect when i enter the temple of men, but i know the people will evenually be led to GOD. usually by a hidden church member who out of nowhere has been lifted by the HOLY Spirit. sands on the beach cannot equall the amount of times ive personally seen or through GOD, been involved in HIS miricales. GOD is amazingly perfect! continued

continued response to judge with rightous judgemment. send me the scripture with book name and numbers so that i may read what you read. show me where Our Lord said this. def of rightous: bieng"in the right" in relation with GOD:not guilty before GOD. Jesus has absolved me of my sins. His sacrifice has set me right with GOD. judge not lest ye be judged. this is a very awesome piece of advice spoken by Our brother. one line of logic is to only judge when you yourself have been jugded. another that is overlooked is judge not unless you want to be judged(made a fool of)yourself dont comment about the speck in your brothers eye when there is a plank in yours question:what happened to those that Jesus healed that were told to go and sin no more? we were told by Him that sin is enevitable but woe to the one who causes these little ones to sin, for it is better for that person to tie a millstone around there neck and dive into the deep est ocean in an attempt to hide from my Fathers judgement on that great and terrible day.

continued response to third paragraph you seem to think that you know more about me than YHWH does. sir if i make some serious changes, i'll haved moved away from GOD.unfortunatly ive never met anyone with a closer connection with GOD as i have. it would be nice to find a woman with more of a personal connection than i have. afterall YHWH told me to get married. nothing and noone can take me from Jesus. i belong to Him forever. for judgement i have come into this world so that the blind will see, and those who see will become blind. do you claim to see?
