I've been on Clexa for almost two years now, and when I smoke marijuana it takes only a little bit to get me extremely high, sometimes to the point of light hallucinations. I want to know WHAT exactly causes the increase in marijuana's effects while on Celexa?

you're enjoying the adverse effects of celexa and marijuana, when i did this i had a terrible trip and my vision didnt go back to normal for 2 days.(dulled and tunnel vision) i was completely detached from reality after my second bong hit and couldnt even finish my sentences, my heart rate was dangerously high considering how slow my breathing was and I thought i was going to die.

personally i wouldnt recomend it, the only differance between you and me is that you've been on celexa for alot alonger that i have. i took a half-pill after not taking it for months.

feeling your brain misfire wasnt a fun experience for me, and from what i've read, it can result in coma/death. just be very careful. and if you find yourself tripping DRINK LOTS OF WATER, and calm yourself down. it'll last for about 5-6 hours.

I smoked weed for years. I started taking Citalopram and stopped smoking weed for two weeks, just to make sure the medicine was working and so forth, and when I finally did decided to smoke a joint I had THE WOST PANIC ATTACK! Never had one like it. I felt like my brain at any moment was going to turn off and I would die. Felt like a stroke and a heart attack all at once. I would suggest not doing it, especially if you've only been on the medication for a little while. I smoked weed all the time on Lexapro and never had ANY anxiety or panic attacks. Who knows? Everyone's different, though.

Wow Eddie...that same exact thing happened to me last year. It scared the shit out of me. I have been taking 20mg of Citalopram for years. I had eaten a brownie that my roommate brought home and within 30 minutes I was freaking out big time. I have never taken acid, but this made me think that I was on a very bad trip. I thought I had died and I was in hell. I remember lying on my bed, trying so hard to calm myself down. My heart was beating so fast, I thought for sure I was going to die. And I was so friggin thirsty, I could not get enough water. I will NEVER do that again.

I had the same experience with Citalopram and herb. Since weening off the medication, the attacks have subsided.

I don't have an addictive personality. RX pain drugs don't help me an awful lot. I drink socially, sometimes with pot. I take my citalopram before I go to bed, whether or not I've been drinking or smoking pot.
It doesn't affect me in any way other than the fact that my emotions are more intact. These pills help me tremendously alone or with other substances.

I am taking citalopram. I just started recently. Yesterday was my friends birthday and we got in a hot tub and started smoking. I took about 3 hits and I felt like I wasn't there. When we got out I felt so strange when I started to walk towards the door when suddenly I just dropped I got on my knees and I didn't want anyone to touch me. Movement affected everything I did and I felt like I was dying. My heart was beating incredibly fast and I think I hallucinated something really scary and I was screaming. I laid down on the cold wet ground and I wanted to sleep. I couldn't even move. Everyone was trying to get me indoors into the bedroom to sleep but I wouldn't move. Eventually I got up, went upstairs, and crawled into bed. A few days ago I also smoked and I drank it wasn't as bad but my heart was racing and I just wanted it to go away. I felt insane. I needed to hold someone and I just was always paraniod and scared. I don't know if it's that I'm allergic to weed? Because before I even started taking pills I had strange things happen to me and I just always needed to sleep it off and not move.

i am on a high dose of celexa and smoke often. I feel a high amount of anxiety and panic when i smoke on this medication. however, it always ends up going away. i have been told that you cannot die from smoking and being on the pill but who knows. I have never hallucinated, i just get really high! i must like the feeling because i cant stop doing it.

been smoking and takin clexa for 2+ years and let me tell ya you will spend loads of money as the celexa either increases dopemine or blocks it all together so in the short you will either have alot of panic attacks or like in my case spend a shit load of money on pot....

ok folks, 1) weed ain't for everybody. 2) the combination of pot and celexa is going to treat everyone different, just like the celexa alone treats everyone different depending on why you're on it in the first place. if the combination of the two is a bad mix for you, (as much as i'd hate to say it) you might have to stop smoking. if you've only combined the two once, and have been too scared to try it again, go ahead and give it a try, with a close reliable friend/family member there to help you out if you need it. it may have just been a one time thing, maybe a placebo. just thought i'd throw that out there for ya.

Just wanted to say that I've been on Celexa for about 6 months now for mild anxiety and I smoke everyday and I haven't had any issues at all. It obviously effects everyone differently but I've never had one issue. All I notice is that I get drunk a little quicker.

i've been taking celexa for 2 years and smoking herb every day for a year & a half.

when i FIRST started taking celexa, i'd get drunk after one drink if i drank. but that doesn't happen at all anymore.

i never get panicky. and my tolerance to herb is high. i enjoy smoking herb & i never get paranoid & it helps me a lot.

the PROBLEM i have, and i'm not sure if it is related, is that 11 months ago i felt a pop in my brain like an aneurism & every day for the past 11 months i've been extremely lethargic. NOT LAZY. lethargic. like i feel like a car out of gas. like i've been roofied. i sleep an average of 14 hours a night & had to take a disability leave from work.

i'm wondering if it's the combination.

the first 6 months of taking celexa i noticed positive changes. then at the 6 month mark i started smoking marijuana daily (to deal with pain from a car crash) and that was fine until about 6 months later i had that strange episode, the pop in my head. & ever since have been debilitated.

so my question is, has anyone experienced this extreme lethargy from smoking a lot of herb and or taking SSRIs? i smoke a lot but i know many people who smoke a lot more than i do who don't get this experience.

i'm stopping smoking herb for a while to see if there are any changes of course. and i'll be calling my doctor tomorrow about the celexa & possible interactions with the herb. honestly i'd rather give up celexa than herb.

I been experamenting with the two drugs and i believe the best way to mix the two is by smoking half a joint rather than whole ones, not holding the smoke so long, and by taking celexa before bed maybe an hour after your last smoke of the day dont take celexa in the morning and then smoke you must wait at least about 6-8 hours before smoking after taking celexa thats why i take it while im asleep you still feel the effects of it after waking up especially after your morning bowl hahaha drink plenty of water and if your chest begins to hurt lay on your back cover ur chest and take deep breaths but that only happened to me when i started my day with celaxa now i end my day with celexa it worked for me remember to take it easy on the pot

i can smoke massive amounts of herb with celexa no problem. it's just the next day i feel lethargic to the point of near paralysis. it's not laziness. it's paralysis almost. i mean i can move but i'm like a 90 yr old man. wondering if the combo of the 2 is causing this.

I can recommend a reputable pharmacy (Celexa without a script) purchasetablets.com/order-celexa-online-en.ht... I received the order and it was on time and the pills work great.

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Sagittarius

You're feeling ultra optimistic today, which is great for summoning up the necessary energy to do what has to be done. But don't let it go to your head and convince you that you're capable of performing miracles. If you aren't behaving in this way you'll have to cope with someone who has a swollen head and thinks they're the cat's whiskers.
