I have secondary progressive MS and have been taking Avonex for about 10 years. I am feel that it has done me little good and am thinking of giving it up. When I have raised this with several of my doctors in diffenernt countries over the past years, they always reply that it is probably best to keep taking it but never give me convincing arguments. I do not have exacrebations and feel that Avonex is probably best for remitting relapsing MS. Have any others given up and found that they are not unduly affected?

I have been off avonex for 3 weeks after 6 years and I feel great! I exercise regularly (I am a PE teacher/helps to have to students to exercise with :-) I eat organic now (no sugar, processed foods nor fast foods, no caffeine and no splenda (both are triggers)), and I get weekly chiropractic adjustments to keep my power on. Anonex is very hard on our liver. Good luck!
