My son just got out of re-hab for ativan addiction-he was on it for 7 years-It was pure hell ,even at a re-hab facility for him to kick it-The withdrwals, according to aphysician at the center, are worse than heroin withdrawals-He now must cope with post withdrawal effects of the drug-depression,psychosis,para noia, memory loss and severe agitation-He's 35 years old and has had to move in with us because of the after effects of a drug he was prescribed by a doctor and used exactly as directed-ThesE effects can last 6 months or longer according to his therapist-DO NOT TAKE THIS DRUG UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE UNLESS YOU WANT TO GO THRU HELL!!!!!!!He's going thru hell and so are my wife and I because of a drug he was told was harmless when first being prescribed by his "doctor". I recommended he talk to an attorney and hopefully ther's a way he can be compensated for his suffering!!!!!!!!!!
my son has been in rehab for ativan for 2 weeks, he is going through hell, he thinks he is going to die. he has been on them for 11 years and was not told how addicting it is. he's been to doctors, hospitals, had many tests, thousand of dollars later they said anxiety. he is 43 years old.he can't work the way he is and there is no help anywhere, unless you have alot of money. was your son able to get off the ativan. how is he doing? did u find an attorney? good luck

I get prescribed 1mg Ativan that I take all at once before bedtime as I have found that its the only drug that helps me sleep. Sometimes my friend gives me three or four of hers if I want to get a little more relaxed and sleep in for a while. This doesn't happen very often though. My psychiatrist doesn't even want me taking 1 pill every single day. She would rather I take it once or twice a week before bedtime if I'm REALLY having trouble falling asleep. Tonight I took 3 mgs total and am waiting for the effects to kick in. its 12:30am. Damn insomnia. Good thing that I have nothing to do tomorrow.

face the facts most people are on here looking for benzosyou dont know me i try helping people that gp's wont help them im married dad of two came through heroin and methadone addiction done loads of voluntry work the problem is drugs should be legalalised some practice policys are not to prescibe but some will so someone with anxiey problems goes without because i advise people that buy these drugs theyre was a cheap option im lowest of low aye right as we say in glasgow
