I have to take Aciphex every day. If I forget, I get heartburn by noon.

My doctor got the insurance company to cover it. I have underlying Barrett's Esophagus (meaning the esophagus lining has been eroded by acid reflux and is possibly at risk for cancer.

I was only able to use the 6 uses coupon. What's up with that? It states clearly up to 6 uses valid till june 09

The 6 uses coupon only worked the one time for me. Pharmacy said it was declined, and only good for one script. But on the back of the rebate it is clearly meant for 6 uses till 6-2009

I took it daily for 6 years. In 2007 I saw the Gastro-intestinal doctor who originally prescribed it in 2001. He said you shouldn't have to take that every day any more. I stopped taking every day as he suggested. I only use it on stressful days and spicy food days or when I feel the pain. Believe me you don't need it every day. This will save you a ton of money.

Wow, I've been on aciphex for 15 years or so. I tried a couple others along the way but that hurt! I take 2 aciphex per day. 1 doesn't cut it for me. With my GERD problem I couldn't stop taking aciphex. Lucky for me the ins. co hasn't cancelled aciphex for me. With my co-pay at $50 like a lot of you, I'm ready to get the generic too!

I have been getting Aciphex from a Canadian pharmacy because is so expensive in the US. I had been taking one a day for a long time before I switched to the Canadian. Its been a year and at this point it seems to be not working, so my doctor said to take two. I believe the Canadian one is a generic. I was wondering whether the 20 mg strength could be diluted and I am not getting the right dosage with the generic. Drugs are not regulated the same in all countries.

Aciphex has no plans on going generic until 2013. The company is now giving $35 rebate that you can use for 12 months. Or you can ask your Dr. for a savings card that they will take the $35 off at the register for cash or copay no need to mail in.

Unfortunately, this is why the healthcare advocates have an argument. Don't get me wrong, I am against socializing our healthcare and I believe a pharma should make their millions, but why do we pay SO MUCH, while if we go to Mexico or Canada the price is so much less? What us wrong here?

My doctor recently gave me some samples of the drug Aciphex. He told me this was a generic for Prevacid. I have been checking on the Web and cannot find out any information. Is this correct?
Thank you
Prevacid is a different drug than Aciphex, I have taken each. They are not the same, neither is generic.

Tried all the varius medications for gerd and only aciphex has given me ongoing relief. Price is ridiculous about $6 per bill. The manufacturing sells same medicine in Canada under a different name "Pariet". The prixce in Canada less than half of what we pay in U.S. Guess where I'm filling my next prescription!

I'm looking at the prices most of you pay out of pocket for aciphex and wanted you all to know that after taking it for about 12 years my insurance co. wont cover it and my pharmacy told me my script was $389.00 (that is for 60 pills a month - as I take it twice a day) but that is way more than affordable especially when you pay for your health insurance. Do we need something to change?

I just followed the advice I found here & was able to print a $35 rebate coupon that I could give to my pharmacist. Then I read the restrictions at the bottom of the coupon & medicare patients are ineligible for the rebate! How about that, the people that can least afford it have to pay full price which for me was a 90 day rx for $653.99.:)

Generic Aciphex works good for me, I'm ordering from OTC pharmacy www.offersplace.net/item.php... for last 4 months and I have noticed no side effects. They sell very affordable medications.

Acephex is the only one that really worked for me. Seems most insurances either won't cover it,(went through hell with BCBS because they wanted me to try all their others which I had, but dragged us through red tape to cover it, THEN my ins. changed. lol), My insurance now calls it a 'second tier' drug and doubles the cost. There are no samples of it anymore at my drs, and I heard the 'bull' from some other dr that it was all the same. It is 'bull', because their not all the same. The ins. has kickbacks from Nexium, prilosec, prevacid, protonix, etc., but none work for me. I wish they'd get it going with Acephex.:(
My ins. changes again in Jan, so I'll have to fight with them too.

Daily Horoscope for December 29

Scorpio

Your thoughts turn to the past today, putting you in a nostalgic mood. You're awash with sentimental tears as you dwell on days gone by or gaze at photos of people you'll never see again. However, try not to let this mood of reminiscence turn into a tendency to feel sorry for yourself and therefore to demand special treatment from others.
