Hey, i've been on accutane for 9 weeks now and finally there are signs of improvement, all ance on my body has cleared up nd though i've recently had a new outbreak on my cheek my skin on my face feels generally less bumpy. Side effects are pretty normal: very dry lips and dry over my body and I have been getting depressed lately but its only because of my skin so I'm totally confident that once my face is clearer i'll be feeling a lot more positive. From what i can gather looking at websites most people start seeing a noticeable difference at about the 3rd month but of course everyone's different. Also to help deal with the dryness i've been taking evening primrose oil supplements which (for girls info is aslong supposed to help settle hormones which in turn should help control spots) and have just started taking green tea supplements which are supposed to be good for the skin. Hopefully it will only get better from here, i'll keep you posted.

Hi guys, Im on week 7 on 40mg a day. And my face is an absolute mess. Ive had so many breakouts since Ive started this, and it just isnt stopping. In terms of side effects I have dry lips and dry skin on my face...also cant put make up on as it makes the dryness look 10x worse! I dont think I have depression but boy it sure does feel like that sometimes when I cry after looking in the mirror...

anyone have some words of encouragement please???

also just wondering if anyone has any ideas on what i can use to speed up the heeling of these spots that are coming up?

use a tab of the proactiv refining mask right on top of each zit, it will dry up making it look like and feel like a scalp and go away alot faster, just make sure not to use it alot. As for the break out, just hang in there man, i have been on roacctutane for 1 month and 11 days now and still no improvements. but everyone just keeps teling me to hang in there!=)

Hi. I'm going into my third week of accutane now and its terrible. My lips and face are so dry and I've had a horrible breakout on my face that just keeps getting worse with new ones. Plus the older ones have stayed red and won't go away. I'm 26 now and tried accutane ten years ago and I know it can work well. Although because I live in the north and the air is dry anyway, I have almost immediately been getting severe deep laugh lines because of my dry sore skin :( I'm broken hearted right now. To the point I don't want to leave the house. I know it sounds silly to allow this to dictate my life, but it really bothers me. I am going to stick with it but it's already getting to me and I know I'll be worse for another month or so before it gets better. Also, I don't think the wrinkles will go away (just get worse) as I continue treatment. Anyone with any words of encouragement?

I've tried both original brand and generic accutane. I prefer generic accutane - There is no difference in effectiveness as far as I can tell between the brand and generic versions. The real difference is price, no comparison. And this suppliers seem honest and reliable. On the site http://z-isotretinoin.info I've just placed my 3rd order.

Hi All,
I am week 3 of my accutane course 40mg/ day and my skin is much clearer than it has been in 9 months - nothing active a all. I too was dreading the initial breakout but can honestly say that I haven't noticed one at all. I have dry skin and lips and did suffer from very noticeable facial redness for the first couple of weeks which had me a little worried but the redness is now gone. I couldn't be happier at the moment!

This is my second month, and I have a huge initial breakout that started two days ago on one cheek, other than that I have not experienced a bad breakout other than one or two zits at a time. It is worth it because your face will be clear in almost three months. this is the cost of beauty.
