I'm almost done with three months right now... and it's finally starting to get better. I had to go through a few months of hell (waking up with zits the size of.... big things), but now my face is really smooth. the only problem is, I've still got the red marks from the pimples I used to have. My derm says they'll go away with time but it's still kinda frustrating.... anyway just stay strong throughout the hard parts and it will pay off eventually.

I know what you mean. You are mostly all cleared up, but the marks from previous zits are still there. I'm at that point right now. I'm on 80mg a day, month 2 day 11.

I know all about the IB.. had one when my dosage was upped. The thing that seems to make the spots stick around the longest is the fact that they get really irritated because your skin is so weak and you heal so much slower on accutane. It sounds weird, but use Neosporin or bactine gel on your spots. NOT all over your face, just directly on the raw scabby parts of your face and they heal SO MUCH quicker. No bull. Try it.

Your spots take longer to heal? I've found since being on accutane they heal so much faster cause theirs not as much oil which is more so the breeding grounds for the bacteria underneath the skin. Although everyones different so u gotta find what works for u.

Cut it, seriously. Flush 'em down the drain. As with all medicines, you take it to help one thing and ten other things go wrong. I have been of accutane for about 2 weeks and it's been living heck. I'm 15 by the way and my back aches constantly, my head aches all the time, my skin stays dry, and I'm ALWAYS tired. My face is ten times better but at a LARGE cost. Stop taking it now. The doctor's have took several urinalysis' and believe this medicine my have caused my levels of bilirubin to be up in my blood. This can mean MANY things, liver problems mainly. So take heed...

I am entering my 3rd month and I still have huge red bumps that stay around for weeks. they are not popable zits just red painful deep acne. Im really hoping this is the last of the breakouts cause my skin does feel 100% better as far as oil and smoothness.

I am in week 14 and have yet to have an acne-free day. I'm 29, weigh about 130 lbs and am on 40mg a day. My doctor refuses to up my dose. He says taking more is not going to make it work better. Right now I have about 10 big zits on my face, most of them deep cysts, and it's all red and very sore. I have bad days, and not-so-bad days, but there has not been one day that my face has been smooth since I started using Accutane. I've been reading about other people's experiences and some say they only saw improvement towards the end of their treatment. I am hoping that is true for me too, because after Accutane, I have no other options. I've tried everything else, antibiotics, retin A cream, monthly facials for over a year (very $$$), professional peelings, Pro-Activ (didn't do squat) and every other products I could buy. The only thing that has ever helped me was the pill, but that also gives me horrible migraines, and as soon as I stop taking them, the acne comes back. I've got all my hopes on Accutane now. Side effects are minor, dry lips/skin/eyes. Doc says 4 more months. Here's hoping.

Daily Horoscope for June 4

Scorpio

Today's Lunar Eclipse at the Full Moon stirs up powerful emotions during the next two weeks (as it has done since the Gemini Solar Eclipse last month), and it may not be a very pleasant experience. Are you feeling rather compulsive and obsessive? Financial issues could be a problem,, especially if they appear to threaten your sense of emotional security. Don't let jealousy or envy make you do things that will set other people against you.
