I've been subscribed Oratane.
Has anyone used them?
Obviously they are the same as Accutane.

I think Oratane is an Australia product.

It's my second time on isotretinoin the first was roaccutane about 8 years ago and now I'm on Oratane which I belive is from either New Zeland or Australia. It has the same active substance so it is the same.

I know that both roaccutane and oratane have the same active ingredient being Isoretinoin (vitA)- but have you guys used one or the other and which one worked better for you?

Hey guys,I am currently on Oratane and it has worked for me.
It has a drying effect on the skin, which is the only 'badish' effect I have had.
I am currently in London and need to get my hands on some more.

I've been on oratane for four months, it helped significantly. But the side-effects were awful. Oratane did not remove the scarring though.

I was on Oratane for 2 months and my face got awful. Every time I would take the pill, I would feel one or two new pimples growing on my face. I stopped using it because my dermatologist "supposably" said that it would only take about two months for my face to clear but my face got worst. My face had never been like it is now. Not only that but I think after the pimples are gone, terrible scars stay in your face. I had a bad experience. I dont know if it works on other people but the pills for sure are very strong.

Hey guys, Ive just made the decision to go on Oratane. Ive had acne for years and to be honest I am fed up. This has got to stop. Acne affects self-confidence and I need to sort this problem out. I want to go to my GP this week. I heard Oratane is cheaper than the other brands and my friends have used it and their skins have all turned out beautiful and clear!! Its time to take back our lives guys and fight this thing. No more spots, just the freedom to live your life. Good luck guys

Mel---don't give up---If you have time, read it gets worse before better posts. many people don't clear up until 5-6 months. A good derm would never tell someone that it'll clear up only in two months. It's different for everyone. Yours might take longer. In order to take this med, one needs tons of patience and try to avoid the mirror.

Hey guys! I've been on Oratane for 1 week & can't wait to see the results. Nothing is as depressing as Acne. It really weighs you down and can take down your self esteem. I've often declined to meet with friends for drinks or coffee, because I'd be so conscious of my face, all the time. I'm excited and can't wait to see the outcome. My face itches a bit though! And my eyes are starting to dry out. My lips feel like cement.

Only side effect thats hit me is the dry lips. I got mine in tijuana mexico, while i was visiting, in CA for a lil over $100, i wonder how much it costs here in the U.S.

iv been using oratane 4 a little more than 2 and a half months and only now are the pimples clearing.in the first month my face was grose! i had pimple growing on pimple! it was extremely dry and i could barely touch my face without it bleeding but it only gets better from there. i do have some scars and altho oratane doesnt heal them ive heard it stimulates collagen and elastin in ur face so that should help to a certain extent. anyway i still have another 3 and a half months 2 take oratane and my pimples are already gone, so i have faith that its going to improve the scarring and pitting a lot. guys just hang in there, get thru the first 2months and after that the pimples should start disappearing and when u left with ugly scars...at least u know that in time ul only look better! dont only put ur faith in the product...but put it in God too - He answers our prayers! patience is the key word.

Just started Oratane for the 1st week. Suggested by GP as Roaccutane by Roche is double the price and ingredients are the same. During first 2 weeks, GP prescribe me along with Prednisolone (kind of steroid. Results found to be good even the first day i started to take this combination of Oratane and Prednisolone. Not sure whether it works for everyone but work well for me. Not sure on any bad effect for this combination. Just email to Oratane's manufacturer on this matter and waiting for reply.

I have been on Oratane for only 3 weeks now i take 3 pills at night with my dinner. i cant see any improvment in my face at all yet it has just gotten worse but i do know that it will get worse before it gets better... I just cant wait till it gets better :O)
I think i am having pretty much every side effect it gives you... Bleeding nose, Dyr sore lips, Very dry eyes, Mood swings. Its not fun at all but in the end i know its going to be worth it.

ive been on oratane for about 4 months now. i dont have any pimples anymore, but lots of scarring due to very very dry skin during the whole process.

the side effects that i have noticed the most are major mood swings. oratane tends to mess with neurons or something, so you never know if what your feeling is the truth or just oratane. be careful guys, people have commited suicide because of this stuff...

another major side effect has been bright red rashes on the insides of my arms. it is painful and ugly. the only way to get rid of this is to use cortazone. that works. of course i have extremely dry lips etc

one side effect that im not so sure about is this. i never ever used to lose my voice, but now i lose it all the time. i think its because of oratane. has anyone else experienced this?

Daily Horoscope for June 4

Aries

Take care today Aries, because the emotional landscape in your neighborhood will be full of pitfalls during the coming fortnight, as it has been since the Solar Eclipse on May 20. The more convinced you are that you're right, the harder it will be to navigate your way around forthcoming events. If you feel resentful of someone, perhaps a neighbor or sibling, you need to get your feelings out in the open, rather than burying them deeper, where they'll fester and lead to more problems in the long run.
