Boy am I ever depressed. I try not to think about it but everyday when I return home from work I can't help but check around my front door looking for the brown envelope. I tried not to call but couldn't help it. I called left a message and received a return call informing me it will be around the end of the year. Its like watching a telephone waiting on it to ring and it never does. I feel abused, confused, misused by my Attorneys. All I want is to put this behind me and move pass this horrible episode even though I will never forget because each time I feel the least pain on the left side it sends me into nerve waves. I was a young vibrant female of 36 when I had this heartattack with no history of heart problems not even with my mom or dad. I was only taking the vioxx pills to ease pain from a small biopsy on my lungs. Wow! what a price to pay. Isn't it amazing that they have made the easiest part of paying out the settlement the hardest part. I'm talking everything completed for them except licking the envelope and stamps, well not really just pull the sticker from the enveloope and press on the stamp. Enough of my sob story.

Downsouth,I agree with you 100%.There is absolutely no excuse in the world for ALL of the attorneys actinh like they are now and dragging thier feet.Have you noticed there is no meeting this month before Judge Fallon? He doesn't want to have to deal with all the complaints.There will be hundreds of thousands of dollars made in interest off the funds sitting in the attorney's accounts.And please don't anyone tell me that they HAVE to turn the interest over to the state for giving free legal aid to the poor,because I know the bottom dwelling attorneys have an angle to hide all of thier illegal,unethical,immoral,beha vior.It doesn't take an brain surgeon to hide money,just a crook.It was at least a month yesterday when the bloodsuckers got the funds into thier hands and here thousands sit and wait with no answers.I won't even go into the LRP issue.Best Wishes Downsouth for a faster than anticipated end to this nightmare.I consider myself fortunate in at least a week ago I did get my recap so I am better off than most but still not happy with how the end of this has been handled.

Bumfuzzled, Thank you for your response. This gives me some hope. I received my settlment check for the little amount. I hope I receive all of that large 30% soon.

I totally agree w/ you about the interest issue. There really is no other reason for them to do this to thier clients other than they're getting rich off the interest.

jerome,I got my recap a week ago yesterday and was told all checks will be recived today,we'll see.I have very little faith in any of them anymore.My attorney is local.If I was you SW clients I would lambaste the attorney generals office in the state where SW is located.They are playing games with you folks.In today's computerized world there is no reason for taking a month to get recaps out ,let alone checks.Beasley Allen had thousands more clients than anyone and started pooping checks within a week.I'd get a group started of SW clients and burning the phone lines to the attorney general,surely someone can and should do something for you guys,it's pathetic and crimnal what SW is doing,Top Lawdogs of the country my a**

I have to agree here. There are a few that did things right,(Beasley Allen for one) so that proves that it can be done. SW seems to be one of the worst offenders that I have seen. I just have to wonder WHY someone would destroy their own reputation over, what amounts to them, a few dollars.(I know its not a "few" dollars to us, but we dont have their kind of incomes!)

Maybe Im old fashioned, but I feel my word should mean something. To bad they dont teach that in law school.(Or at home in all to many cases)

Concerned,nope the Merck agreement hasn't made me cynical.Having dealt with attorneys in the past I had already learned how corrupt & criminal they already were.I went into this fully anticipating I'd get shafted somehow by someone.But when the agreement was already made before it was presented to me or us,I had no choice but go along for the ride.But you did describe it perfectly,a lengthly circus.Best wishes to you as always.Hopefully we can get this behind us this week,but than that would be too easy.

You guys are scaring me to death....
My husband had a striBefore I found the blogs I believed my attorney in that I would receive my funds this past summer...as a result we lost a house we were building...It was ready in mid-October..We were lucky enough that the builder agreed to transfer our down payment and upgrades to another lot....We MUST close in March 0f 2010..If not we will loose all funds plus the homebuyers' credit....If some one has HARRY ROTH please post how and when you received your fundske so we will be next year..

[Thanks Dick for the response, I had to go out of town for a few days and did not get to respond. Again thanks for caring. Was hoping to receive at least the recap today but to no avail. To everyone who have been fortune enough to receive either a recap or check, congratulations.

I hope every one realizes that dipstick above isnt the guy Downsouth was talking to.(Our freind doesnt and WOULDNT talk like that to one of his "friends."
