I've tried both original brand and generic pills. There is no difference in effectiveness as far as I can tell between the brand and Indian generic versions. The real difference is price, no comparison. And the India suppliers from http://allbestmeds.info seem honest and reliable.

Cipro is saving my life, been on it a week 2x 500mg for 10 days. I had/have a severe kidney infection. Aside from headaches i haven't had any side effects, and actually feel better. People are whiney, any medicine in any class can have serious side effects and people do not write online frequently unless something bad has happened to them.

Kathy,
I'm not sure, I was currently on this medication, I stopped taking it as of tonight, however after taking (17) 500 ml twice a day. Please post if you find out any more information far as the symptoms or how long does it take to develope symptoms. Thank you
I went through a period where I was getting a UTI once a month and the DR prescribed Cipro for the infection. After I was off of it, I started experiencing severe pain in my thighs. It hurt so bad, it was hard to walk. I dreaded things like grocery shopping bc it was excruating. I didn't realize it was the affects of the Cipro until my sister-in-law mailed me an article about it causing leg pain. It eventually went away after about a year. When I reported this to my DR, she commented, "I've never heard of Cipro causing that" like she didn't believe me. That was 3 yrs ago. To this day, whenever I do get an infection, which I'm prone to, I refuse to be prescribed Cipro and I feel she still doesn't believe the sypmtoms I say it caused.

In 2010 I was prescribed Cipro for a UTI and I recall asking the doctor why he was prescribing Cipro as a first line choice. He replied that it was becoming more and more difficult to fight gram negative bacteria and that use of the Cipro family was becoming more and more necessary. So, I took it and experienced fairly scary calf and foot pain as a result.

Two weeks ago I was diagnosed with kidney stones and "possible" kidney infection and was again prescribed Cipro. When I refused, the doctor claimed that the kidney infection could become serious and the organ could become compromised. I again agreed, rationalizing that tendon rupture was preferable to organ failure. From the first dose on (I quit after 3 days b/c I could barely walk), I experienced excrutiating lower back, hip, and knee pain/stiffness. My pain in my lower back and left leg continues and I find it difficult to walk at times, everyday chores result in exhaustion. As a 35 year old single mother of two, I can't really afford to be disabled.

The most infuriating part of the experience is that I later found that urine sample was neither tested nor cultured, yet I was prescribed Cipro and pressured to take it even though my chart had a notation in it that I had had an adverse reaction to the drug.

The good news is that some doctors are informed. When I went to the ER for the horrible back, leg, and hip pain that I thought was surely the result of foretold kidney failure, the ER doctor acknowledged that Cipro could be the culprit.

I've been taking a supplement called d-mannose for years. It's an all natural simple sugar that is slow to dissolve. I take a simple capsule in the mornings daily and that's it.
Surprisingly enough it works for MONO, Strep Throat, Colds (with sore throats), Urinary tract infections, bladder infections, yeast infections, and for the men prostate cancer.
I currently purchase mine from a great company out of Fielding, Utah called Vital HP.
Matter of fact if you want to know more about d-mannose and it's benefits read this blog they did.

It has been the best, cheapest supplement I've found. A+

I have been taking cipro for two weeks. after only several days I started feeling foot and leg pain. I just could not understand why a antibiotic would cause leg pain. Could anyone explain the cause of these symtoms?

I would recommend http://indgeneric.com . Excellent service, lowest price, product arrives within 2 weeks in plain envelope. They are the sole of discretion. Believe me, I have used them several times, not that I need them but wow. Remember to check your blood pressure first as it can affect your eyesight.

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Capricorn

You feel like overindulging yourself in some way today, and why not? Throw caution to the wind and eat your way through a big bar of chocolate, or have a retail therapy session that leaves you reeling from the amount of money you've spent. There's a definite chance you could get carried away and tell a whopper of a story that has little resemblance to what really happened. What on earth has got into you?
