Its makes no sense people go to jail, pay fines, and are viwed as common criminals for possession of A PLANT!!!! God made it and it will be legal, maybe not now, maybe not within the next 10 years, but it will! Virginia being the first to land, settle, and prosper i also think we should be the first to sell marijuana as what it actually is, AS PLANT!

I am so sick an tired of this law of Marijuana being illegal it never ever should of been. You made it illegal to only make alcohol legal. I have lived with alcoholics and I have been around people that smoke I would much rather be around someone smoking than drinking any day!!! I will all ways say either make alcohol illegal or legalize Marijuana and start making money to help get this country out of debt. The money you spend on putting people in jail and feeding them you could make far more money by selling it. Maybe one day someone will finally figure it out that its not any worse than having alcohol legal.

The billions spent chasing after this plant could be put to better use, and think of how much revenue could be raised taxing it.

If they legalize it, it's production and sale should be regulated just like alcohol, wine, and other OTC and prescription pharmaceuticals.

Legalize, regulate, and tax.

Our police officers should be focused on violent crimes. Our prison dollars should not be spent on housing, feeding, and treating nonviolent offenders.

Police don't go after real criminals. Police are nothing but revenue collectors for cities and towns. I work in a rough section of a town and I see drug deals and other crimes all day long . The police drive through but somehow don't see these things. They are too busy running radar and chasing women .

I agree with all of you, the problem is most of these folks that are voting on the so call "Maijuana issue" do not realize that this is NOT one of those so called trouble drugs. I agree I would rather be in a room of smokers than a room full of drunks. I dont think that I have every heard of a person that smokes pot, blow through a stop sign and kill an entire family and we do with drunks all the time.

If these people in office cannot figure out a way to control it, that have people get a lisence to smoke, we buy hunting lisense every year, I know of several good people that would purchase one. they could really work out ways to collect money and make it legal. Goverment has been making money off of hard working people for many years for little things, gotta pay to drive, gotta pay live in a house, gotta pay to hunt, fish, gotta pay tax on anything you buy. so they could really figure this one out if they were not stuck on all the hype from the Nixon period, they need to move on we are not in the 50-60's anymore.

Personally I think the problem lies with big drug companies paying off those people in office. How many people would need to by perscriptions for certain things: stress, eating disorders, sleep and several more, when the all natural would help even better.

It's our fault that we keep electing people who are idiots. Just look at what they passed last week: Ultrasound requirements, unlimited handgun sales, NO fingerprinting required to buy a gun. That's Virginia for you. They are more interested in these issues than anything that will help the economy.

To prevent posting imposters maybe I need a posting ID? You know where they verify that I am not a posting imposter?
Sounds like that new law in Richmond about voter ID.

I would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending too much liberty than to those attending too small a degree of it.

~Thomas Jefferson

Smoking dope is dumb, keeping it illegal is dumber. Quit wasting tax dollars.

Legalize it (decriminalize it), regulate it, and tax it...

There'a lab out there, and it's called Portugal.

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Capricorn

You feel like overindulging yourself in some way today, and why not? Throw caution to the wind and eat your way through a big bar of chocolate, or have a retail therapy session that leaves you reeling from the amount of money you've spent. There's a definite chance you could get carried away and tell a whopper of a story that has little resemblance to what really happened. What on earth has got into you?
