Marine, I understand your indignation. You are upset about how your taxes are spent. I think, however, you missed Ms. Bailey's larger issue of "why now?" Why are you out now, why did the tea parties take place so recently after the election of a new President? Its a little disingenuous to say anything other than you don't like Obama. That's OK. But to hang your argument on the idea that it is just taxes ignores the fact that you've had 8 years to protest a former President that started two wars, raised taxes in his own right, and botched response efforts to natural disasters. If you're that much a patriot -- and not just a partisan -- you would've had your party LEAST LAST YEAR WHEN BUSH STARTED GIVING THE MONEY AWAY.
I'd also like to address your contention about the bonus the CEO of GM got for walking away. What, do you propose, should have happened? Should Obama have taken away his severance? Why, my friend, that would smack of socialism. Are you advocating that? Shoudl the government cap people's salaries? That's dangerously close to Communism, and we don't get down like that.
Waiting until now was just reaching the breaking point, it nothing to do with Obama, Bush, Clinton or anyone else for that matter. It was and has been years in coming. So please stop thinking this is about not liking Obama, for all you know I voted for him. As far as taking away the CEO's severance pay smacking of socialism, not when "they" asked the government to bail them out and give them money. As i see it, when you ask someone else for money to get out of a hole you dug for yourself you have no right to severance or any other contract policy made before hand. If these companies had managed to get someone else to bail them out I am sure there would be sacrifices made in the way of severance and bonuses. These people screwed up and they should pay a price for it. That my friend is not socialism it is reality.

What are you talking about! Obama IS raising taxes on HARDWORKING Americans. All of the lazy people like you and Dorothy Baily, who just want hand outs, are acting like fools. I am shocked that anyone would say that President Bush did not do everything necessary during any natural diaster during his term as President. If you are refferring to Hurricane Katrina, you are stupid. What did our President need to do? All of the needy wellfare,whiney hiney's should have taken care of themselves. But first and foremost, it is not in the Presidents job description to take care of the states. New Orleans should have taken care of New Orleans. Bush, out of his good nature and goodwill, took interest in the lazy hurricane Katrina victims, and if you ask me, Bush did way more than he should have.
After the inauguration the point was made, they could get 3/4 of a million people in and out of D.C. but they couldn't get 1/4 of a million out of New Orleans? Big party, welfare state, problem defined.

Why is he blocking his records? This is very interesting about him claiming foreign citizenship. I say get him out!

What are YOU talking about? The Obama tax plan raises taxes on people making upwards of $125k/year. Yes, those people are hard working, and they deserve their money. However, few people in Lincoln County make that much a year.
<quoted text>
Ms. Bailey did not indicate anywhere in her letter that she wanted a "handout."
<quoted text>
The notion that they should "have taken care of themselves" is absurd. Sure, people could, and probably should, have left New Orleans before Katrina. But people are stubborn and for every person that heeds the warning there's going to be the "get off my lawn, you Fed!" type next door. Do you want to be told you need to evacuate? Forced to evacuate? If you live in Ruidoso your argument is essentially: I'll stop the fire myself, thank you! Go ahead and try that one.
<quoted text>
In your mind, what is the President's job? It sounds as if you equate him more to a benevolent king or dictator than an elected representative. Good nature? Goodwill? Seriously? People in New Orleans pay Federal taxes. They are entitled to the government's aid when a disaster strikes. Part of the President's job, as Chief Executive, is to organize the response mechanism.
Bottom line...the only thing the government needs to be involved in is protecting our country. It is impossible for anyone to protect people from a natural disaster! Personally I am dissapointed in the Great Hurricane Katrina! I wish it had wiped out all of the losers that just want to suck off the taxpayers tit!

I thin Wes and "Ms" Bailey probably salivate over the idea of socialism. Their words are unworthy of my eyes, my big ass, patriotic, Republican, God loving, God fearing eyes.

I've got to head down south and build some more fences.

Daily Horoscope for January 6

Capricorn

Don't let anyone stand in the way of your progress and don't reveal personal secrets. You could very easily become run down at the moment. An empty promise could leave you feeling sad. If you're working today, there could be some problems: stick to your own work and make sure that someone doesn't try to take credit for your efforts.
