I am a current worker at a plant in ny. I have seen all the problems dairy farmers are facing due to deanfoods. Us workers are facing the same. Unfair raises is one problem we have. The ceo took home a 6% wage increase while we got 3%. Our healthcare was raised more than our wage increase. The company continues to make huge profits without passing any onto the workers of farmers. Next is our hours. Our days off continually change and so do shifts. They claim to value family but with increasing production and not staffing correctly we dont get to see our familys. They claim when hiring that there is no mandated overtime but if you cant work the extra hours they fire you. They only seem to value profits not the employees that make them the money or the farmers that produce it. They dont care that you cant see your family,wife,husband,or watch your kids grow up. They are becoming the walmart of the dairy industry.
