I went to the tasting and had two rounds of everything ...wasn't even buzzed. The fake sh*t I bought froze when I put it in the freezer. It is watered down and no stronger than a cheap glass of wine.

The real stuff they make, which is as real as it comes I'm from a long line of shiners, will not freeze. You need to go back and try the corn whiskey, which is what real moonshine is.

To be quite honest the "real" stuff ad you are referring to is usually less alcohol content than 100 proof. Most is around 70-80 proof. Do some actual research before you make comments like this. It only makes you sound uneducated

Do your research. Really?? Real moonshine is usually cut down so the shiner selling it can make more money. Why would someone sell 150 proof shine when they can add some water and make 75 proof and double their money. Do your research you educated wannabe!! My family has been making shine for 3 generations and any true shiner will tell you they cut their stuff to make money!!

i made plenty of shine using corn.it comes out 150+ proof.the shine in gburg tastes like the alcohol i made from water/yeast and sugar, not the corn liquor we made. but they may have some but i didnt encounter it at the tastin.i asked about it and they aID IF THEY WENT OVER 100 PROOF MORE TAXES WERE REQUIRED. makes sense.but it tasted like pure grain ethanol, not shine.
