Visited Bora Asmara on 8pm, 23 June 2007 Saturday after reading countless reviews about the restaurant. The only positive experience out of the visit to Bora Asmara is that the ambience is emaculate. Apart from that the number one let down was the unprofessionalism of the manager on duty that evening. It was a waste I did not have a chance to get his name but he is a local Malaysian man in his mid to late thrities clad in a maroon short sleeve shirt. Four of us ordered a total of 4 main courses namely the Dancing Bali Fish, Otak Otak, Sexy Basil Beef and Stir Fried Kailan in Oyster Sauce. When the food arrived together with 4 plates of white rice plus a cup of drink each, the table could not fit the main courses. The manager was so innovative that he placed the main courses on extreme ends of the table and also placed the plates of rice at the end of the table and suggested that we twisted our bodies in a obnovious position to eat our dinner as I quote the manager 'we are fully booked for tonight so there is nothing much I can do for you'. Interestingly it is obvious the manager lacked any intelligence nor empathy as we the customers suggested that since we are unable to move to a bigger table owing to the overwhelming reservations, why don't he change the size of the plates of the main coursers to a smaller plate and that the pull up 2 chairs for us to place our drinks - thus allowing more space on the table to enjoy a proper dinner without contocting our bodies in an obnovious angle. Our suggestions worked! The second let down was the taste, presentation and portion of the food is not even comparable to any typical mamak store one can get from the Klang Valley. In short if you are thinking of going to Bora Asmara - don't bother. You are better of visiting Devi's Corner that is 5 minutes away.

last night i baru dapat sampai ke Bora Asmara apabila a lot of my friends memperkatakan tentang keunikan dan keindahan bora asmara. The place was situated at sebuah kampung di tgh2 ibu kota Kuala Lumpur. Tibanya di sana we all tidak menyangka bahawa ini sebuah restaurant kerana ia dipagari dgn tembok batu tetapi bila melangkah masuk all of us really excited + terpegun dgn suasana keindahan dkt situ. Kedatangan kami disambut mesra and kami memilih untuk duduk di sebuah pondok tp tempat tu dah fully booked. then kami duduk di sebuah meja yang berpayung sambil menikmati suasana tenang. Pd mlm itu we all order makanan ala melayu..spt pecel lele, bali dancing fish, tomyam..mmg sedap!! sambil makan ada bandboys yg dtg nyanyi dari table ke table..ala2 batak band la.. lastly, i dan kwn2 sememangnya happy sgt dpt dinner di bora asmara and we all bercadang untuk membuat birthday party pula disana..:)

Had a small birthday party to my dear friend at Bora Asmara was fantastic experience. Seated on the floor at BISIK BISIK WAKAF was a great experience. The ambiance very serene and peaceful but we all break the peacefulness with our lout voices and the smell of cigar.*Muahahaha Oh well, bunch of metrosexual bachelors meet up, what else i can say. I like the concept very much as it just far away from the busyness of the city. Food was good, the experience was great others...Mastercard uruskan...:)
Keep up a good work.

Had dinner with my entire family @ Bora Asmara..the ambience was superb but i must say that the foods is not up to what i expected..well...we made complained about the shrimps..saya rasa dia gunakan udang yang dah agak lama..and it is not in my plate je pon...but others also..but the management was ok la..dia tanya nak replacement foodsor complimentary fruit..and because my tummy dah rasa semacam we just go for the second option.. Overall nice place to dine and service was good..despite the yucks food..

Was there yesterday for my company's buka puasa. Me and my coll read this blog before we landed there and didn't had high expectations.
As what 'lil hanum' said, the ambience was superb but the food - OUT. The meats are not fresh. In fact, the mee hoon was about to spoil any time. For 45 bucks per head, not much choice.
Don't bother to go lorrrr
