This will go a long way in making the downtown area an "arts and entertainment" district, which is what the CCRC group wants for downtown. We'll see if this will work out.

Hooray for Karin and Ed! I've tasted some of their beers and they are excellent! Congrats to them and to the city decision makers and property owners who made a great choice!

My husband and I are new to Vallejo, born and raised in Marin/Sonoma. We think Vallejo needs more businesses like this and look forward to the opening.

Please follow up on this story.

By the way, you say "the rest of us", I dont think there's many of "you" out there, crybaby. I dont see many chiming in on your behalf. You are obviously a BIG loser. I think the "rest of us" might be you and a couple of other morons....

I don't get it. I live on the West Side, and I have friends who are scared to come to my neighborhood and downtown Vallejo. Where is the elitism? Can't you just be happy new businesses are getting started in your town? It's all the same city!

I agree with him/her. We never hear about the rest of Vallejo unless it involves a crime. People want to know their safety is not compromised when they live/visit a town. On another thread, another group is going to try and "find out" why more people don't spend in Vallejo. Vallejo is criminal rich and police poor. You may know why, but no one yet has spoken to how to restaff police and fire services.

I am so happy to hear that someone who lives here still wants to take pride in our city by setting up shop here. I live a few blocks from downtown and am looking forward to afternoon strolls to visit this establishment as soon as it opens! ;-)

What Vallejo needs is new industry with real jobs and then maybe people can afford to buy a beer and enjoy some intertainment.

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Aries

It won't be long before you start to feel bored today, unless you can distract yourself - you're switching from one activity to another. Ideally, you should keep yourself amused by doing something that's unusual or challenging, otherwise you'll be tempted to stir up trouble just to see what happens next! Even though you know that's a bad idea, you won't be able to resist, unless you've got something better to do with your time.
