Judge it!
This "new location" is not new at all, the event used to be held in that parking lot where the farmers market used to be when it first started out back in the 80's.
This location sucks. I guess the condoists and "business" owners up at the Battery Park location didn't care for the culture of Asheville being so close to there Downtown dwellings and so it had to be moved!
Count me out until it returns to "fabulous" Pack Square Park in 2020!

In a big change this year, the music is moving to Lexington Avenue, near Hiawassee and Woodfin streets.

Has anyone noticed in other cities they have well known acts perform on their "downtown after five". I was just curious why asheville prefers local musicians, who aren't well known.

I liked it better at Pack Square too. It was a good location for a crowded, outdoor event, hanging around that great fountain that's NO LONGER THERE. That pisses me off as much as anything about the how Pack Square fiasco.
