I have recently become a huge fan of New Holland Mad Hatter IPA. It has a really hoppy finish with the zing of orange peel flavor. Super refreshing.

Goose Island IPA is reall, really good as well. I would put it as a toss-up between them, at least here in my area as New Holland is a pretty local brew.

Here is ratebeer's top 50 list for IPAs:
http://ratebeer.com/Ratings/TopBeersByStyle.a...
The best "accessible" IPA (meaning you can probably find them in your area) are:
1. Two Hearted Ale
2. Stone India Pale Ale
3. Victory Hop Devil
4. Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale
5. Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA

Two-Hearted kicks ass. I had no idea that it was considered an IPA. Its made in Kalamazoo, Michigan by Bell's and mmmm mmmm good.

The Sierra Nevada isn't bad, though really not hoppy enough for me (I'm a crazed hop-head).

I personally find the Sierra Nevada brews too bitter for me. I'll have to try the others on the list, as well as Mad Hatter and Goose Island. Should be easy since there is a Bev Mo close to where I work!

Right now my favorite is Lagunitas IPA.

Stone Brewing Co. produces both "Stone IPA" which is a great, intense session IPA and also the "Ruination [double] IPA" which is over the top if you love the hop. Both are worth a go for any fan of the style.

Commodore Perry from Great Lakes Brewery Co is my favorite. I don't care for any IPA with an Alcohol % less than 7.

The Lost Coast Brewery makes an IPA called Indica, and if you can get it fresh, it's absolutely delightful.

For a standard IPA, it is hard to beat Bell's Two Hearted Ale. If you're looking for more aggressive hop character, try Dogfish Head's 60 or 90-Minute IPA. They make another called 120-minute IPA, but this one is so extreme, not to mention high in ABV, that it is difficult to drink more than a shot's worth at a sitting.

If you can get it, I would suggest trying out Arbor Brewing's Sacred Cow IPA. Not much in the way of head, but a strong dose of hops really made this one stand out for me.

As far as I know you can only get it in Michigan. It is bottle conditioned as well, so there is a little yeast cake at the bottom of the bottle. Decant with care.

best IPA ever made... TWO BROTHERS HEAVY HANDED IPA!! Brewed with fresh hops so it's only available in the fall in the midwest. Next best in no particular are...

1. Three Floyd's Dreadnaught (NW indiana)
2. Dogfish Head 90 minute IPA (120 if you can find it)

Those are the 2 best in my opinion.

(I'm currently aging 2 bottles of the 120min IPA)

I am insane about IPA's and an extreme hophead, not into maltiness at all with my IPA's. Sacred Cow sucks! I absolutely hated it

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Leo

This is one of those days when money slips through your fingers in no time at all unless you're very vigilant about your spending habits. Unfortunately, it will be difficult to stop yourself splashing out whenever the fancy takes you, whether or not you can afford it. You're especially drawn to tempting little treats and luxurious indulgences.
