Border dispute between Djibouti, Eritrea could imperil Red Sea ...

The distance between the rival armies is shorter than the barrel of a gun. Hundreds of opposing troops are lined up on the border, staring each other down, from just inches away.

Oh the Brits! Still causing havoc from their 18th century exploits.

Ok, Seriously, the Africans need to be able to spell out P.E.A.C.E

They know how to speak - C.O.N.F.L.I.C.T

Get a grip people. Aren't you tired of your miseries?

Well you make it clear why there is this sudden 'escalation' of a 'stand off' with Djibouti.
the presence of US and French forces in Djibouti is going to be used to undermine the Eritrean government which has resisted a consistent campaign of defamation and economic pressure and sabotages using international organizations including the UN. well we'll see how things will play out this time around with this new 'wild invention' of the west where they managed to have president guelle to boast that 'he will take action!'

Come on. Where are those diffamation? Just let us know which one are they? Love your country but do not be blind, admit errors when you see them.

For the moment it is HELL in erythrea and I hope Erythrea will wait until around year 2050 to get their heads out of the sand and look at the real world.
The world may have moved to Planet Mars by then.

I am so surprise that some "bright" (I hope) man like will jump to a stupid conclusion.
Have you really followed the news?
There was a stand-off because Djibouti was trying to use all the diplomatic means to try to resolve the matter in a peacefull way. But Not Erythrea.
The kick-off happen because a number of eritreans military were deserting their position and presented themself as assylum to the Djiboutian army and because djibouti refused to give back those guys to Erythrea because we all know that their fate in the hand of the Eritrean government will be a certain death. So it all started because the Djiboutian army refused to give them back and some djiboutian died to protect your own Eritrean soldiers.
Erythrea was not even interested to give diplaomacy a chance to resolve the matter, so apprently the stick was the appropriate tool for Isaias to understand things. Only a donkey understand the importance of a stick, as did Isaias that day. We are in control of all our land.
