That means in taxes, pay to the goverment what you owe and pay to the church that which you are to give to God...and in laws, obey the laws of your land, in church obey the laws of your church.
That means that Jesus, would have exoected that man to obey the laws of the goverment, and surrender and put down his gun.
But since he did not do that, he had to suffer the consequences of his bad decision.
He is dead because of his bad choices.

Europe CREATED the USA of today. Our ancestors had freedom but the non whites had to eat our crumbs.
People had to fight and die as recently as late 60's for the so called "freedom".

I am lucky enough to have lived through the civil rights movement and watch it unfold. It was something to remember forever.

The black lady that ironed my grandmothers clothes gave me and her daughter a whipping for playing together in the alley behind my grandmothers home, because someone might see us together and she would "loose her job!"..
That was a different America than we have today, where black man is now our president.

there was slavery in the colonies from the beginning,(abt 1650)...until 1776. between those years we lived as the subjects of the Crown of England, France or Spain, depending on where you lived....So slaves held during those years, were held according to the laws of those EUROPEAN Nations.
There were slaves in the UNITED STATES of AMERICA from 1776 until 1864...that is 88 yrs.....there was slavery in THE UNITED STATES of AMERICA for only 88 yrs.
