"Although Lenore had been more independent than many women of the time, she later stated that she "never had any regrets about giving up movies." Another time she said that she had never had a choice of both marriage and an acting career: "In an acting career, I would have been upstaging him, and he couldn't stand that. It was never either and; it was always either or." George would later consider his successful seven-year courtship of her to be his greatest sales achievement. Sales achievement? What was Lenore to George....a commodity? Cheesecake photos...oh, the horror of it all.. |

Judged: 4 4 4 So funny! You used the word 'might' so she might NOT have been. By your reasoning, all those beautiful pinup girls might have been ... too (not the ones in Playboy - the real pinup girls). You are still putting the space before the ending punctuation mark. Very telling! |

Judged: 2 2 2 She stated that she never had any regrets about giving up movies. What exactly is your point? Are you one of those people who think having a career is more important than raising your own children? Yup, women's liberation sure did help us women didn't it? Now we get to help hubby do what used to be his job, making a living. THEN we get to come home from work and STILL get to do all the stuff we used to have to do before we had to get a job and help him. Kids, homework, grocery shopping, cooking, cleaning, laundry, gardening etc. etc. His wife was lucky and she knows it. She got to raise her own kids instead of working while some dummy making minimum wage at a day care raised them for her. Her kids are successful. Anybody wonder why their kids are deadbeats still living with Mom and working at WalMart? |

Judged: 3 3 3 You are truly one unhappy human. If your husband was a lazy bum and felt helping you around the house was not part of your relationship, that is not proof all men are like him. Also, according to Mrs. Romney.. "Another time she said that she had never had a choice of both marriage and an acting career". It appears she did miss being able to do what she wished and instead became the wife and mother George expected her to be. |

Judged: 4 3 3 Obama makes me sick.. Posted by Jim Hoft on Tuesday, June 19, 2012, 11:59 PM GP Alert: This post is for informational purposes only. Obviously, this is something you would never see in the mainstream media. More racy photos of Barack Obama’s mother were recently discovered. The photos were apparently taken at Frank Marshall Davis’s home in Honolulu. The photos reveal an intimate relationship between Obama’s mother and his childhood mentor. (Warning on content) From the video: Racy photos of Barack Obama’s mother, Ann Dunham, have recently surfaced in vintage fetish and bondage magazines. The photos, taken at Frank Marshall Davis’ house in Honolulu, appeared in Bizarre Life, Exotique, Secret Pleasures, and Battling Babes. They help illustrate the intimate relationship between Dunham and Davis.“My father was from Kenya, he grew up herding goats,” Barack Obama told the cheering crowds. Did Obama build his political career upon a fairy tale? Was Obama misdirecting Americans away from a deeply disturbing family background and a Marxist political foundation? Obama’s version of his early childhood is false — the family did not split up when the Kenyan Obama went to Harvard as he claimed. In fact, Ann Dunham, took “Barry” to Seattle a few weeks after his birth, in late August 1961, and began studies at the University of Washington, while the Kenyan remained in Hawaii. All evidence points to a “sham” marriage to cover up an illicit affair. Barack Obama began regular visits to Frank Marshall Davis’ house at the age of 10, and Obama refers to Frank Marshall Davis throughout his autobiography as his childhood “mentor.” |

Judged: 3 3 3 Why are those women struggling? Are the husbands, boyfriends and fathers not involved in the families? If a person enters a marriage, or relationship, simply to have someone to do their laundry, cook, clean, etc. then they entered the relationship under a lie. With all the men who bail on raising the children they sired, what do you expect the women to do? Be on welfare? Live on the streets? Take handouts? Perhaps the reasons these women are struggling is their decision making processes are clouded by the ever heard "but I love him". When the man doesn't make enough, or becomes too ill to work, or circumstances dictate the women must work, what should these hard-working women do? Bail on the children as well? Times have changed to where it seems to be all about "I want that, I want this" and people are more concerned with possessions instead of raising healthy, happy, self-reliant children. Frankly, I am quite proud of women. We have proved we are able to raise children, work outside the home if necessary, run our households, and SHOCK even run corporations and for political office. What would you prefer? All women remain home, pregnant and if their mate dies they are left without skills which are considered as bankable? Women do what they need to survive. Why is that such a bad thing? Oh, and Obama's mom is beautiful. Too bad some only see with jaded eyes and find her actions to be unacceptable. At least her pictures don't show the detail shown in Penthouse, Playboy and Hustler. |

Judged: 3 3 3 I agree with your statement. Priorities have shifted towards more stuff and the children are suffering. I know women can do whatever it takes to survive. I did it. I just think its very wrong to criticize ANY woman for choosing to raise her children herself instead of some other career. Raising children is the MOST important job there is. The hours are bad and the pay sucks but the next generation depends on how well we do that job. I had to do both and I know it would have been better if I had been able to devote more time to child rearing. Bravo Ann Romney and all of the other women who chose the most important career there is. Bravo to all the men out there who understand how important that is and made sure it was possible. |
