AT&T Premises Technician Pay?...

Well, when you guys wash out, maybe they'll decide to call me.

But, they would probably rather pay someone the $10 an hour than someone like me who was already told I'd be getting the max hire $13.

But, really, it doesn't matter now. I was just told I'll be shipping off in October to Iraq. When I get back, I get to repeat the process of finding a job.

I was lucky enough to talk to few techs I saw last week.

How come the crappy job that I want to get out of seems to pay exactly the same as the Premise Tech position?. I need to better myself and I have a scheduled test and I dont know if I want to work for a company that will keep me from my family. Every job I have had recently at least let me spend the weekend with my family. Is there really no way to have scheduled days off.

Dont get me wrong I will work massive overtime, and its nice to know I have a company that will let me, but sometimes I need time off.

Bob, I don't think you should be paying to much attention to some of this posts. Yes there's gonna be tons of work hours but I was told you'll get a week vacation in 6 months, 2 weeks vac in one year, personal days and like most other jobs work weekends. Remember, is not just another company, it's AT&T, and the benes you can get with them are better than many other companies, so I think you would be better"ing" yourself. There is a yearly bonus, retirement, discounts on services...and if you want massive overtime, some sacrifices are on the game. Your pay will include more than dollars... My oppinion :)

I don't know where Utica is, but if it's near Detroit, you're probably safer in Iraq.

Just got 2 more emails (took the test a month or so ago) for a drug screening consent and a huge application. Anyone know what I should expect next?

well ill just take it easy then i guess. does everyone have to watch you go through the mock install lol? i just wanna get passed training. ill be making $10.20/hour. the most ive ever made in my life, and id like to keep this job right now.

Keep waiting patiently. If you applied for the position in WPB, Lake Worth, Boca and surrounding areas. It's my second day of training and is looking pretty good. They told us that they're hiring fifty something more prem tech. No pole climbing DEFINITELY.
After you fax the forms and fill up the application, they'll call you for an interview which includes four to five common sense customer service knowledge. Then if you're picked they'll send you for drug test and physical. Don't fail those and you're in!

Oh, and Charlie, don't pay attention to the negative posts in ths forum, they're unreal.

does anyone know about what this is paying in NW Arkansas area? Someone who currently works there says they were offered 14.85 for the premises job or 16.85 for something else...I think he called it customer service technician or something like that. He took the 16.85 one (he does have 3 yrs experience compared to my 0, however). He was saying that within the next 3 years he'd be max'd out at 30 dollars an hour at that particular job, but he didn't know what the max out pay was for the premises tech job.
Does anyone know that's in the NW arkansas area what the top out pay is currently and if what he said is true about max out pay maybe being that high. I think he said that by the time you have 6 yrs experience you should be at the top out pay. I was jut wondering if that's true and if its worth it for me to quit my $14 an hr job with no overtime and no chance to advance to take it.

thanks for the reply, makes me worry alot less. I thought that maybe I missed a step. Also, whats the pay range for the south fla techs because nobody seems to know?? and where did they send you for training??

The emails I received actually had the name and email of a staffing manager and in the bottom it said (insert office phone number here)
