Maybe Obama will come to Oak Cliff and clean up the mess that goes on there.
He did promise "change", lets see what kind of change he can do when he steps on the drug addicts/dealers toes that live in Oak Cliff. |

Hey Rocky,
It takes a coward to kill a 75 year old man with a hammer. These thugs are worthless scum. |

Layed off but working in construction/roofing. It gets cold at times. I should be called back on regular job by the first of the year, hopefully. My wife had a stroke two days ago, it's affected her speach. Not sure if she'll recover on it but hopefully she'll will. Not having insurance is bad, the E.R. had to accept her by law but yesterday a specialist refused to see her because of no insurance and no cash. She was doing a lot better yesterday, got her some pills that dissolves the build up in neck vein that caused the stroke. Doctors said smoking caused the build up. Otherwise it's doing ok here, didn't do any deer hunting but people giving me so much deer that I'm making jerkey out of it. Done filled up four old coffee cans up with jerkey. People are begging me for it, lot better than buying it at the store. The hunters and the somewhat cold/wet weather we've been having is stirring up the deer at night and even the daytime. Quite a few dead deer and smashed cars on side of road. My deer whistles on front of all vehicles I have seem to work. I like to learn how to build a trap for the wild rabbit that's all over the place but I would have to buy a .22 pistol to shoot in head and can't afford one now. Well, gotta get off here, fixin to get ready for work. We got this one job working on a home built around the 1860's, very nice especially after the restoration the bossman been doing to it for the last six years here and there. |

Sorry to hear about you're wife, hope she recovers. Jobs around here are very scarce too, even the temp companies have few to offer. Places like Pilgrims pride are paying barely minimum wage and treat their employees as if they own them, glad I didn't accept their job offer, but I am working for a temp service until the REAL jobs come back. The had a job fair last week, it was the companies that cannot be trusted, yet hundreds and hundreds of people waited all day in line for them. We have more people than jobs in this country and it's taking it's toll on the economy, such as Circuit city closing down after Christmas. Wonder if Obama will save the country, I wouldn't want his job. Other than the job and financial problems , everything else is going ok. Cold this mornin', but still better than 100 degrees and humid. |

I just ate a few taco bell tacos. Now it's time for some Bud ice. Cold as heck here, winter has arrived. |

I always overdo it when I go to Taco Bell. I usually have ten hard shell tacos with a large Pepsi. Hate eating in the vehicle, have cheese and lettuce all over, ants somehow get in. |

10, eh. Yea, I know what you mean, once you start eating those tacos there's no stopping. I usually eat that many tacos after I have drank some cold beers. Right now it's 9:30, and I just got home from hangin' around Joe pool lake, but it's so quiet, which is a good thing. Went there for a few hours having a few cold beers, then back home. Still drinkin' some cold ones watching some old 1950's sci-fi movies. Then later comes them tacos, lol. Teenagers from outer space, is the movie tonight. Bud ice is my best friend on Saturday night, lol. And yea, I am very jerkish about my car, can't stand to spill food. |

That's one thing I've always enjoyed was drinking beer at the lake, especially when the moon starts coming up. It seems it comes up out of the lake. The authorities are real strict on beer drinking anywheres around the lake. Not only the Police but the Game Wardens. People get busted for boating and drinking. They tried to bust (now this is what I heard, not sure if it's a bullshit story) a man in a paddle boat but the charges did not stick because there was no engine on it. Hmmmmm, I wonder why people can get busted on a horse. There was this one man in town busted on his riding lawn mower on private property. This one is a true story. I know this other man who lost his D.L. for drinking so he takes his tractor in town. Don't have to have a license for a tractor. I see eight year old boys driving them on roads. |

I know, eight is all I can handle, I don't know why I buy ten. The last two I have to squeeze in sideways I reckon. |

I was once in school several years ago for diesel mechanics at our local Vo-Tech. Across the street was the high school and male students would also take that class. They elected to clean out my large tool box that is mounted in back of pickup truck. They kept finding old peanut butter and jelly sandwiches that I bet been there for several years. I've always wondered what happened to my sandwiches. The sandwiches were so petrified the students played football with them, tossing them around. |

Quiet? LOL. The only time I ever found downtown Dallas quiet was on an early Sunday morning until I came along in my very loud Triumph motorcycle. I would rap my pipes so it would echo among the high rises and wake up the homeless. |

My brother sent my father's hats to me, well some of them. Looks like my father's wife's family helped themselves to quite a few of them.
They did not take the Billy Jack hat and that is the one I really wanted. I used to wear the Billy Jack hat in Oak Cliff in 1980 on my father's Triumph. Thought I was cool. I wore it several times dancing, people coming up wanting to buy it, would not take anything for it. Sad, I think my wife's dancing days are over. Time will tell. She goes back in for a M.R.I. next week to see how much brain damage was done. She's not really the same and it tears me up. |

And speaking of my father's wife's family.
My father was a master mechanic and he had a tool box with Snap-on tools, value of about $30,000. My father willed it to my big brother but all the tools were stolen somehow right after my father died. My big brother was going to divide all the tools between me, my little brother and my other brother. Kind of like in the same situation now at my home. My wife's family are like vultures waiting to swoop down and take a lot out of home if something bad happens. They done told me. I got news for them, the law is on my side if they try to clean me out. |

Yea at Joe pool, it's quiet and no one bothers you, even the police. As long as you're not doing donuts in the grass, it's funny, the police will get you for doing donuts, lol. |

Joe pool is quiet, but downtown never sleeps. I very seldom go downtown, it's a bit depressing down there, Kennedy still lingers on. They won't let Kennedy rest. |

I will say a little prayer for her, she's too young for that. My wife likes to dance, but hates when I step on her toes. |

During times as these inlaws can make things worse, but you have more rights than they do. Remember the lady who's husband turned off her life support, but the parents fought but lost. Shreiver or something as that. |
