Nearly 50 Illegal Immigrants Working As Security Guards Arrested

“Hopefully, this operation will help us send a message that we will not tolerate the falsification of documents for undocumented aliens under the guise of providing security”

A task force led by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrested nearly 50 illegal immigrants in weekend raids of mostly Latino night clubs in Dallas, officials said Sunday. via KAUZ

So much for giving us your weary, tired and huddled masses....I for one, love our neighbors from the south, and think we should accept would be illegals into a work program with a path to citizenship with open arms. Stuff like this only builds up foreign resentment in the US, which is the last thing we really need.

The US lets in more LEGAL immigrants than the rest of the world combined. What should we reward LAWBREAKING, ILLEGAL cockroaches when there are millions of good people who want to come here the right way?

The only law most of them break is walking across a border to provide their family a better life through hardwork, which I think is fine. If I live on one side of the river, and its barren, and the other side is lush with growth, I am going to cross the river, its that simple. Look at a heirarchy of human needs, and maybe then you will see why people are willing to abandon the only life they have known to embark on an uncertain trip to give themselves a chance of more opportunity. Its also a known fact that illegals commit less crimes than the average american citizen, so your portrayal of them as lawbreaking and illegal really applies only to their citizenship.

I vote, we deport lazy americans, and allow some of these hardworkers in.

You seem to ignore the fact that there is a LEGAL way to cross the river as opposed to sneaking across or overstaying a visa. Sure, it may take a few years and require a lot of paperwork... BUT IT'S WORTH IT!

Sneaking in ILLEGALY may seem like a small crime, but it should not be rewarded when so many want to come here the right way.... the LEGAL way.

Now, THAT is funny !

First, ANYONE in the country illegally is guilty of breaking the immigration laws.

Then come the assumed names, aliases, Social Security numbers. Then, they break the law taking a job they are not entitled to.

Or, as an alternative, work under the table, breaking tax and finance laws. Driving without a license. Won't even mention driving under the influence ...

Fake documents, fake identities. There is too long a list, all grown ups should be familiar with these issues. ALL ILLEGAL ALIENS in the country are guilty of most ALL OF THESE, whether they have been caught and locked up, or not.

Then, come the real crimes.

Have I mentioned the drug trade, prostitution, gangs fighting the LAPD on the streets of LA? 60 to 70% of the LA gangs are illegal aliens. There are less than 12,000 police officers, and 60-70,000 gang members.

The MS-13, the Mara Salvatrucha, were BORN in LA!

Want to read the REAL story, from the US GAO? Year long studies, not some joke from a CA Public Policy Institute?

Read these:

http://www.gao.gov/new.items/d05646r.pdf

http://www.gao.gov/new.items/d05337r.pdf

Then take a look at the LAPDs Most Wanted page, here:

http://www.lapdonline.org/all_most_wanted

Then, make up your own mind.

Sorry, your govt propaganda is just as reliable source as independent studies. In fact it might be less so, since our government has spread false propaganda before without thinking twice.

And here are some stats for you to investigate as well:

-every ethnic group, incarceration rates among young men are lowest for immigrants, even those who are less educated
-The incarceration rate of U.S.- born men 18 to 39 years old in 2000 was 3.5 percent — five times higher than the incarceration rate of their immigrant counterparts, the study found.
-data from the U.S. Census Bureau, police records and other sources — also shows that a large increase in illegal immigrants has not resulted in a rise in crime. Since 1994, violent crime in the United States has declined 34 percent, and property crime has fallen 26 percent. At the same time, the illegal immigrant population has doubled to around 12 million.

BUT there is "an 'paradox of assimilation' in which second- and third-generation immigrants have higher crime rates than those who first come to the United States." Which tells me good, honest people come here, and our crappy methods turn their children into criminals while tearing their families apart.

And if you really think getting a greencard just requires you to stand in line, THINK AGAIN! I date a legal alien, and if his father would not have gotten greencards as part of a job transfer, he would still be sitting in canada.
