Death penalty sought in Dallas office murder 4:29 PM CDT

this is the most brutal/senseless murder i have ever watched on first 48 homicide show.......jose castro has no repect for life, and has no remorse for what he did what so ever...........blood for blood.........lethal injection is waiting for jose castro, for time is not on your side. R.I.P KAREN LaFON, justice will prevail...........

I think lethal injection is too kind. It's an easy way to go. We all should be so lucky as to die so peacefully.

My opinion... two bullet's to Jose's brain would surely ease Jose's pain. RIH... Rot in Hell!

jose castro is a terrible man. what a senseless and horrific pre-meditated crime. the man obviously had no job and was sitting around his parents apartment for hours on end. for him to think that murdering a loving mother and working woman for profit or whatever his reason is sickening. it is down right scary. i worry about my own mother now. we like to execute people here in texas where i am from, and that man deserves nothing less than capital punishment..

Why is it a racist comment? Nothing derogatory was sad about Jose or his race. Sounds to me like your pulling the race card out waaaayyyy too early!

I don't think that the "Illegal immigrant" had to do with race but more rather with ignorance of the person that posted it. Illegal immigrant can be any nationality other than "American". I know Canadian illegal immigrants as well as many european ones. Now if you want to talk about the real crazy killers, you'd be happy to know that they are all pure Americans. Killers like Manson,Timothy McVeigh,John Allen Williams (better known as the sniper who went on a killing spree some years ago) and the Columbine killers are all born and pure bred Americans. So go ahead, say "another illegal immigrant"; if it makes you feel like that justifies your existance in this society then by all means.

Unfortunately, at least here in Texas, "Illegal Immigrant" is used as a derogatory insult and more often than not is addressed at Hispanics, whether from Mexico, El Salvador, Nicaragua or anywhere south of the border. More home grown, pure white American murderers are in prisons across the country than "Illegal Immigrants".
Calling Jose Castro an "Illegal Immigrant" is racist when the comment is based on what he looks like and how he speaks and not on his actual birth record. I watched "The First 48" also and do not recall the show revealing his citizenship status as "Illegal". I doubt any of you have seen his birth certificate or the certificates of his parents and therefore have no right to call him an "Illegal Immigrant" or an "anchor baby",(that is so derogatory).
As a second generation Mexican-American (whose grandparents and great-grandparents were forced out of Mexico by Pancho Villa and therefore, yes, did cross the border)I take great offense to the US's attitude towards Hispanics in general!
This is simply a case of a man who is pure evil. He is not evil because he is Hispanic or because he may or may not be "illegal". He is evil because he was born without a soul or conscience and has no respect for Life.

of meth or some other drug when he shot that poor women....why shoot? just grab the bag and run...what a coward...I can only hope other inmates deal out some prison justice on this guy

This reminds me of a time over by Oak Cliff at a bank across the street from the used to be RedBird Mall.
A woman that I knew of went to the bank at the drive thru and a man walked up and shot her in the face and grabbed the money sachel that was from her buisness at the mall. Killed her.
