Looks like Alberto Contador got his spanking by two cycling brothers.

Or was that he got Tagged-Teamed by the famous cycling brothers?

I'm really amazed that my two (SA & UK) football buddies haven't been nice enough to give credit due to where credit has been earned by our US Women's football team after spanking both Brazil and France!

I was able to view that last two goals in the US vs France game while working out at one of our gyms at Fort Bliss/Biggs Field since that gym has televisions all over and in all of the various workout areas/rooms.

Good luck to both teams from Japan and the US.

Yes, thank you my friend, but I'm not ready to reply yet. I also owe Chris some replies but my life is still in tatters.

I'm trying to get it back to normal but it's not easy. Lots of ups and downs. I must start training for my first event in about 12 months which will be the Argus Mountain Bike Challenge on 3rd of March. But, I'm battling to get back in a routine.

I totally understand Pieter.

It's the 1st of March today, so another day to go and it will be me, my Zaskar and Boschendal's trail!

I've put on a lot of weight last year because I wasn't riding, turned the scale at 118kg in September. I'm down to 102kg now. I was hoping for 98kg but I'm ready for the race mentally. So the extra 4kg won't hurt me.

I've trained hard the last couple of weeks, done a lot of walking as well in case I will have to push the bike!

I'm really looking forward to the event. Nothing beats the joy of reaching the finish line after a hard ride. It's going to be a battle, I know it, but I'm ready for it.

One of our top stars of the past, Ertjies Bezuidenhout, died over the weekend after a 103km race. He suffered a stroke. He was 56 years young, won a Rapport Tour and 3 Argus races way back when. This was his first race in 22 years and maybe the distance was to much for him. Very sad indeed.

I enjoyed a wonderful ride!! It was a new route and much easier than I expected. I did not win but I did not finish last either.

Looking forward to the next event on the 28th of July.

Official results: I finished 301 out of 486 overall in my group and 4th in the Grand Masters category.
