A moral hypothetical on Floyd...

Hey you all:

Enough 'innuendo' exists at this point, to offer the following conundrum:

What if, in that lofty private insiders-only world that is international anti-doping regulation and analysis, certain members 'had heard rumours' about a certain American cyclist, and his European-based team, that involved the use of 'Doping method *A*', which happened to be un-testable at the current (summer 2006) state-of-the-art?

What if that knowledge infuriated certain 'members' of a 'small group of insiders', who had the means and way to 'bust' that 'undetectable doping method'(*A*), and the rider who was winning accordingly, through a tried-and-true 'counter-attack' that included claims of analytical surety that said 'American cyclist' was POSITIVE for the use of 'Substance *T*'??

Got the picture?

"I know you're guilty of blood-packing, but I cannot prove it.

"SO, I am going to have my lab configure our 20 yr old machine so it registers the barest of positives for Testosterone usage. And I will take this case to the limit, using incompetent scientific experts espousing inconclusive data as 'proof positive', and will use private arbitration to ensure that the true nature of the evidence need not be considered, whilst allowing those arbitration experts to redefine Rules, and 'Correct' data, so as to be able to offer a Decision that 'proves' our case was valid!"

Here's the DILEMMA:

Did LNDD/WADA/UCI/CAS 'know something' that has not ever been revealed to the public, for (or 'on') which they decided they were fully (morally: in their own optic of persuasion) justified to ram a conviction through their own 'system'???

Since this is a hypothetical question, feel free to expand or analyse it as you see fit...

I think that one of the contibuters to the TBV sight said it best. LNDD really didn't know how to interpret the peaks.

The three indepentend European research groups that I had mentioned on variuous ocassions stated that the Testosterone test was far too new and unreliable for testing at that time period.

Why else the sudden change over to EPO testing?

They're doin' Great Mo'.My wife is up in Alberta helping out and when she comes back I get to go.In the meantime I get to do some renos at home.It's amazing how much one can get done when the Missus is away.

When I had researched the forum threads and found when everyone here had started in thos forun, I found evidence that Chris and Raymond had never provided any evidence, nor any sound arguments for their B&W beliefs. They both just talked a lot of hot steam.

Will was the only one who really stood up and spoke in supporting his convictions.

So, Chris is going to Nepal. I wonder what group he is going to be a Sherpa for! We al ready know that he is only a hiker and not a climber.

good to see your comments again. I do have concerns about our dear Mr. Landis, that if the powers-that-be were able to pull off their con on him before, what's to say they won't try it again? I wonder (not being an insider of these things in any way, shape or form) if Floyd can have his own testing done by a truly independent lab (not the lab that is a servile toady of the newspaper owner of the race who shall remain nameless because they don't deserve one) and use those results as evidence in the certainly-to-occur accusations later. Thus, perhaps just maybe there can be illumination of the underhanded deal that has caused Floyd so many problems. I apologize for the partisan tone here, but after all the things I've read (the judgement, the dissenting opinions, etc etc ad nauseum) I just have no faith in the powers-that-be to apply any level of fairness to the process. And that, unfortunately, has already adversely affected my desire to watch the sport any longer. I still ride with tremendous pleasure, but who wants to watch a sport where the outcome has be predetermined by a bunch of corporate bone-heads?
