Play them at there own game, he should create his own ironman distance race, perhaps call it ironstrong or tri-srong and % of proceeds goto Livestrong cancer charity funding...and go global.

When are they ever goin to just move on? He clearly has been tested over 500 times so when is it ever enough? I agree he should make his own race and raise a ton of $ for Livestrong cancer charity funding!

Lance is about to be overtaken and swept up by the drug enforcer peloton so he should probably just apologize to all of us who have admired and loved him for years letting the chips fall where they may hoping we still respect his ability to overcome pride and be truthful. It is all very sad but at least it may help A LITTLE to clean up sports especially cycling. Letting people off -including baseball players etc.. - does not allow the pure / clean athletes to shine which is also very sad.

This talk about cleaning up the sport by directing all attention to things in the past does nothing for the future. As a rule, you focus on moving forward. We will forever be stuck in the past by what is taking place right now. Drugs exist in most every sport. Why cycling bears the brunt is beyond explanation. These are athletes that push themselves beyond extreme. They race at speeds in clothing that provides no protection. It is a shame doping exists but it does. Past is past. Hate the players of old all you want but that doesnt change a thing. Move on. I dont want to hear about last year, next year.

Beyond Explanation??: It is because the cyclists are constantly being caught even recently. This is not the past? How can you clean up the future if you don't do something to stop the dishonesty by using past examples? They will just keep doing it. So, should anyone who does something in the past be let off for scams, crimes, bad behavior? A lot of victims may disagree with this theory. Yes, they are great athletes (still) but they have scammed us and themselves! What about the one person who is actually a better athlete but refuses to dope and could have won something?? Who speaks for them?? I guess they are being spoken for right now and people who reek of guilt would like it- of course- to all go away. Don't ever hate but fight for the innocent by exposing the dopers ( scammers) past and present in ALL sports.

The problem with this case is the real possibility that there is no tangible proof. As it seems at this point, witnesses have been 'purchased' for testimony so to speak. Its obvious to all that we do not have the inside facts to the case however. The problem I have with this method is the timing these all seem come out. It a soap opera to say the least and I feel it is being done on purpose and that is what is bringing issue to the front on cycling. That is why this method has to stop. On another note, due process is a right we have and should expect. The way this is moving forward and presented does not show those rights are given. In the end, work to end doping but do it the SAME in ALL sports. Or give cycling a huge mafia union to act on behalf of them as well just as in the other big 3.

sickofidiocy wrote: And you know that how??? That is a good point plus : I copied this comment from someone named pityparty from PA on another forum because it fit here and makes sense regarding the due process comment :"This is not the US government going after Armstrong on criminal charges. This is the US Anti Doping Agency. There are no criminal penalties just sanctions and penalties for the athlete or those who break the rules. There are too many people associated with Armstrong including support staff and teamates that keep getting nailed for participating in the use of banned substances. Others should be so lucky. If Armstrong and crew WEREN'T part of the US cycling team they would be considered illegal drug smugglers in many countries." Also, I would like to add regarding the timing comment that this has all been brewing for a long time now - it is not suddenly just ( conspieracy type theory) happening to Lance and cycling. They have to fix this or many of us will not watch cycling anymore because it is becoming a big joke. However, although I don't know about your mafia comment in the other sports ( ha, ha- funny though) but I do agree they have to clean them ALL up. Hang in there honest, great, and non doping athletes: your time will come and you can feel authentic pride for your efforts!
