I guess he's above the law to get just a slap on the hand
just because he's a judge, if it was regular person he or
she would have spent the night in jail and prabaly be pending on a court hearing but oh well what can you do.

Cornish was removed from the bench in Las Cruces several years ago for DUI. Is this S.O.B. POS Richardson appointee going to slide? Look at the stats in NM. What the hell is it going to take to take a good hard look at our law enforcement and judicial officials and get these people out of these positions? What a sorry state of affairs. This state desperately NEEDS to pass more stringent DUI laws and ENFORCE them.

Well, whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty?

I love how everyone who has posted has already decided that Robles will walk away with no consequences. His judicial career is probably over. Why are you mad at his wife because she's employed? Some of you people really need to get a life.

And, Fred, when you voted for Ms. Martinez, you might've thought you were giving her total power (and she probably thinks so too), but she can't do anything to a Judge.

Wouldn't there be a conflict of interest situation if he was allowed to continue to judge appeals?

Couldn't have happened to a more arrogant man! Albuquerque doesn't do the same thing we do? Why did you let him go then? I would love to see him spend even one week in jail - would be karma to say the least!

Guess you're not better than all of us, ey Robles?

My heart goes out to the Robles family at this time... Having been there, done that... I know the emotional toll it takes. Hopefully, a lesson was learned... I know it's rough, but hold your head up Robles'! Life does go on, eventually...

I want to know how many guys or gals this judge sentenced for DUI in his time.

Someone made a comment about Cornish up there. If this guy is a jerk like Cornish, this charge is well deserved and karmic. Last time I read about Robles, there was something about a female staffer...
I am glad this guy didn't kill anyone, but now this judge is, hopefully, about to see how severe a first time DUI is. Shoe on the other foot now. Hope it works out.

I agree with many whom have commented on the arrogance of this SOB. He was without a doubt the most arrogant SOB I have ever seen on the bench.

I too heard some of the "rumors" of some of the recreational activity but do not know if it were true or not. He kept good company before getting on the bench, Evans, Robles and Valdez...you be the judge.

I have very little sympathy for this man having watched for years how smug he was when sitting on his perch as the almighty. He needs to get a feel of the shoe being on the other foot.

I truly hope this ends his legal career, the arrogant SOB!
