China continues to follow a firm stance of principles on the Cyprus issue, based on the relevant UN Security Council resolutions, President of the House of Representatives Yiannakis Omirou said on Friday, after a meeting he held with Chinese Ambassador in Nicosia Li Guobang.

Judged: 3 3 3 They will look at their interests first and blow everyone else. Now let me think - who will do more trade with China? Turkey, or Greece/Greek Cypriots? China will make noises and then do deals with Turkey. This fat Greek freak will get diddly squat out of the Chinese. |

The Chinese are going to help Greece,as it is in their interest because it holds a massive amount of Euro Bonds. In fact it is basically baling out the European Union.
I notice the UK is bending over backwards to the Chinese...what hypocrites. Reminds me of Tony Blair,Prince Andrew, and other top business leaders ,wineing and dining Mr.Gadaffi not even a year ago! China already owns the US,it is not far from owning European Union. It will certainly own Greece, and Mandarin will be compulsary in schools, as it is in Private schools in Australia. |

Judged: 2 1 1 What in the h.ll are turks doing there in the first place!? Better 100 chinese than one turk I've learned so far. At least they work hard, are clever(!), are susceptible to progression, aren't sexually frustrated and certainly aren't rapists. Go china! Tell the inbred mooslim toorkies what the world is about. Because we gave up on them already. They're muslim inbred idiots, all of 'em. |

Judged: 2 Mandarin will be compulsary in schools, as it is in Private schools in Australia. [/QUOTE] And what's wrong with that? Isn't English compulsory in China? I remember having a conversation with a chinaman in perfect french... And the ones residing here are fluent in Dutch. In the face of globalisation it's a relief there are chinese about; otherwise the rest of the world would consist only of mooslims and n.....s., i.e. idiotic illiterates who breed like flies. |

Judged: 1 1 1 What has Turkey got to do with it?? You have a lot to learn about the outside world. Cypriots hate Chinese, they call them names, and use and abuse them. I can back this up with many articles on racial abuse of Chinese in Cyprus and Greece. They think Chinese are 2nd class citizens, now please tell me different. |

There is nothing wrong with it, I was highlighting how advance the Australian Government is on its relations with China. And Oh,shock ,horror, the Chinese speak a foreign language! How is this possible, because they have slanted eyes, which makes reading difficult! |

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan declared the visit an important step in the growing relationship between China and Turkey. "We said let's raise our trade volume to $50 billion by 2015. And as the second phase, by 2020 let's aim to reach a volume of $100 billion. We have agreed upon this with my counterpart," said Erdogan. China Premier Wen Jiabao, described the transaction as a new "strategic partnership", saying he recognized Turkey's "power and influence in the international community and its region". |

Judged: 2 1 Indeed. What has turkey got to do with cyprus. Anyways, chinese are 3rd. class citizens in many places in Asia or Latin America. But at least they're able to take care of themselves without partaking in violence or crime, at least agains their hosts. Turks however are in massive numbers over here; not even willing to share our dinner or even share a glass with us. Not to speak of the crime and agression they bring or the fact they cost a lot more in hard-earned taxmoney than they actually contribute. Chinese here are actually appreciated, if only for not making rubbish. |

Judged: 1 Are you sure? You obviously don't live here,it is known world wide that Cypriots are one of the most racist people in the world. I didn't want to put this one up, but you asked for it....there are many others,I nearly put up a study done in 2009 on Racism. But it is not complementary either. So be careful what you ask me to back up,I never write anything unless I have back up. If you held back your arrogance, and accepted the problem,I would be more than willing to listen why "foreigners" are second class citizens. http://www.mahallas.com/2011/03/aphrodites-ho... |

I am not being racist. Even you don't notice in the article "Iam amazed at their behaviour" and,"I found them polite and grateful"! Why was that a shock....did these people think they would behave like hooligans? I will post an article on the beginning of Chinese Greece,it started last year. Piraeus is Greece's largest port, just six miles from Athens. Last June, the Chinese shipping company China Ocean Shipping Co., or Cosco, took full control of its container terminals, leasing it for 35 years for almost $5 billion. Experts believe it's probably China's largest investment in Europe to date. |

Lets face it Basil,if I brought Ban ki Moon to your house and he told you face to face that facts....you would still not believe. I have never, ever heard a Cypriot say they are wrong,or apologise if they are found to be incorrect. http://www.cyprusupdates.com/2011/03/cyprus-t... I have a proper study, which I will post if you really need it! |
