Guess how much this house cost? $US 40,000. Seriously. Containers of Hope is the latest project by Benjamin Garcia Saxe and is composed of two 40' shipping containers set together with a raised mid section and clerestory windows.

This is a fantastic example of container based architecture.

It embraces all of the elements that define the movement...

Reuse, some measure of sweat equity, fast construction times and affordability.

This is what we have been working so hard for years to promote, rather than $300 sqft statement homes.
