Threatening Phone Call

The injured worker definitely was wrong to threaten to go to the Charleston Mall and shoot Brickstreet employees - he was probably emulating wht recently happened similar in another state recently.

If someone is really going to do that, they would not give warning. By Brickstreet having offices placed in the mall where any claimant having issues can simply shop around and watch for them to come out is NOT GOOD SECURITY - very different than being in a private building. But the building is very nice and thats what the CEO wanted.

The man apparently was denied some type of benefits. To be denied help when in pain or not able to support your family would be more traumatic than an isurance company not wanting to fix your roof after a rainstorm or fix your car after an accident. I'm sure West Virginia workers are feeling struck by lightening when they realize they have a huge chance of being denied now that the WC coverage is a FOR PROFIT agency. It's a double whammy also - if Bricksteet says they are not disabled - I doubt if Health and Human Resources would even allow them emergency food stamps or any other help while they try to sort out how to manage without an income they had depended on most of their life - A JOB...

He probably isn't prepared to be made an example of and I would bet he gets a stiffer sentence than some actual murders.

Exactly - I'm sure Brickstreet will push for the maximum punishment to "deter" others from doing that. I'll say it again - most likely someone intent on doing something like that will just appear there in the mall out of the "blue" and do damage - and the consequences evidently will be moot to them if they've went that far.

Most likely Brickstreet watches these forums also.

The truth on the situation is a little bit of crazy and a whole of lazy. This man and wife have manipulated the system for far too long. I know these people and I can tell you from first hand accounts this couple is nothing but trash. They steal and lie to gain what little they do have just to keep from actually working.

Yes everybody knows though that because of one claimant, you can't assume they are all like that. Brickstreet apparently feels it in their best interest to deny all claims and let the injured worker fight it or GIVE UP. Also just because Brickstreet says a person is not disabled due to a work injury does not mean they are not disabled from a cause other than work related and could not get help getting food stamps, etc.- just that the "system" can take care of their injuries through taxpayers money if they have no private insurance !!!

So by WC denying rightful claims - the injured worker who paid taxes and all other workers who do as well and all employers that pay premiums and taxes all PAY collectively in some manner if a person is hurt and cannot work and has no private insurance.

So as the state of WVa gets poorer the insurance company - Brickstreet, and others, get richer hmmm
