State lawmakers need a pay raise

Our legislature needs a raise. Stop laughing. Stop it! You're thinking about the legislature that allowed us to dine on roadkill, the one that wants us to be locked AND loaded in bars, the one that won't let us ... via The Jackson Sun

hahahahahahahah, don't we all? What is this, an old April Fool's joke?
Tell them to take their raise out of the tax hike on the cigarettes.

They need a pay raise? I read where they are going to lay off people from the Child Welfare Protection Agency throughout the State.

Why is Henry county gas always higher than Carroll county? Is there a hidden county tax?

Maybe the Mayor, but they will just give you the run around, trust me I know for a fact, I have called the office to ask about certain things, and whoever you need to talk to is never in, you can play that game every day all day long.

Be a good one to write about in the editorials in the P.I.
Another one is all this volunteer thing going on. We used to do it all the time but a woman brought it up in a meeting on how much does the monies actually go to the cause and how much goes to the people who run the charities like Relay for Life. They shut her up real fast.

A few years ago I went to this one wealthy church in town. The message I got was that I should donate everything I have to their church in the case of death, hmmmmm, what about my kids?

If people really knew just how much really goes to charities they would be shocked, it is something like 1 or 2 cents out of every dollar that actually goes to a charity, look at the red cross, them people that run it make hundreds of thousands of dollars a year.

I told this one small time preacher man here to bug off cause he said I had too much stuff in house and to donate to church.
He's messing with the kid's inheritance.

This lady I know was going to donate about 4 acres next door to me to her church with the stipulation that a home for the elderly be built there and she would have free housing when she got disabled. The church did not like that about the home, they just wanted the land for resale.

The preacher man told me in that paritcular church that everything belongs to God. I said good, he can pay my house, car, electricity, water, and insurance payments.
Believe it or not he got really irate with me, he was just an assistant preacher man and we both worked at Champion. After I told him that he gave me a crushing bear hug and I stuck my finger in his nostril and yanked. I won the fight.

There is another way. Puppy mills. People all over are getting busted now for puppy mills. What I don't understand is why they go to all the trouble of taking dogs from these people and usaually just give them back. Most have been arrested twice or more already. I think Tn. needs a new sign. We welcome puppy millers and meth labs. That's it plain and simple. Until someone somewhere finally admits that there is a lot of corruption in local authorities and state and get them out of office we have NO chance to stop this. ONe sheriff was quoted as saying (about busting a puppy mill) that he hated to take away their life line. OMG> is it the same with a drug house? Don't want to take away their life line? I have never seen anything like it. This whole state stinks. It sucks.
