What is so unique about Eastgate Church anyway? Rumor mill is turning, but as a new resident to Hiawassee, I haven't a clue what East gate is all about. Will someone enlighten me?

Well nobody wants to answer that question. That sounds fishy to me.

Any sure that runs through the aisles with a wheel barrow for the offering plate, the preacher tells them when they have tithed enough, and the idolize their preacher, you tell me...

Well, are you for real? I heard the pastor, former pastor, was carried in by people, as a casket by a group of pallbearers. Don't know, just heard that from what I thought was a credible source. I have never heard of a wheel barrow or as my grandpa would say, wheel bar, being rolled down a church aisle. That is so funny. I did go to a church one time that sent little boys with large white buckets down the aisle. My husband dropped in a penney and left.

Hmmm. looks like the gossip mill got a real run on this one. If you want to know THE TRUTH. Go to Eastgate and see for yourself. Yes, it is different- but in a world of selfish 'me people" who put there own agendas before God- it isnt surprising that fear of giving God (not a man) everything brings out the hateful lies and gossip. No caskets, no robes, no pall bearers, no idols. You will be surprised. Just good Godly people that want all God has to give. And that means giving of themselves. Rumors are usually started in fear-of having to put out a little money, and fear of the unknown. Get REAL people! Maybe Eastgate isnt for you- but dont go to a blog to find out how to worship!!!!

after looking at their website I can tell you that this so -called church is so far from scripture its not funny . first of all this man calls himself an apostle , wow anyone who knows scripture knows that you would have to have seen Christ to be an apostle, the only exception to that was paul and he saw Christ on the road to Damascus and its was verified by the other apostles . a simple study would show you that!,second apperently they have a woman {again so-called pastor} when the scripture plainly teaches that a woman is not to usurp authorty over a man in the church.third is the fact that they want to revolutionize the church ,again wow , who gave them authority to change what Christ founded , the scripture teaches that God never changes , he is the same always ,its churches like this that give true christians a bad name , what a joke this eastgate is !its not even a church ! so here are three things from just looking at their home page ,{i couldnt stomack looking any further} im sure the deeper you go into it the further away from scripture you get . You would be wise to stay far away from this cult !
